Hoy vengo a contarles una experiencia muy diferente. Desde que estoy en Brasil me he dedicado casi que completamente a trabajar, mi tiempo de esparcimiento ha quedado limitado a una clase de baile a la semana. La rutina es atrapante y siento que nada más vivo para trabajar, atender a mi hija y la casa. En casi 4 años que llevo viviendo en Brasil no había tomado un tiempo para viajar y conocer el país en que resido.
El mes pasado todo cambió, en medio de la inseguridad de vivir una experiencia nueva compré un tour para visitar Foz de Iguaçu. Pensarán ¿Por qué miedo o inseguridad para irse de vacaciones? En realidad, el miedo no era por viajar exactamente sino porque tendría que llevarme a mi hija de dos años conmigo y ella está en una fase donde es super intranquila. Superé ese miedo y compré mi pasaje, Amanda no pagó por tener menos de 4 años.
Today I come to tell you about a very different experience. Since I have been in Brazil I have dedicated myself almost completely to work, my leisure time has been limited to one dance class a week. The routine is overwhelming and I feel that I live only to work, take care of my daughter and the house. In almost 4 years that I have been living in Brazil I had not taken the time to travel and get to know the country where I live.
Last month everything changed, in the middle of the insecurity of living a new experience I bought a tour to visit Foz do Iguaçu. You may think, why fear or insecurity to go on vacation? Actually, the fear was not for traveling exactly but because I would have to take my two year old daughter with me and she is in a phase where she is super restless. I overcame that fear and bought my ticket, Amanda didn't pay because she is under 4 years old.
Pasé días explicándole a mi hija que nos iríamos de viaje y que tendría que portarse bien para poder disfrutar del paseo. Ella una semana antes ya le decía todo el mundo que iba a viajar y cual sería su destino. Mi ansiedad estaba alta por estar pensando en el comportamiento de Amanda durante el viaje, pero confiando en Dios que se mantendría tranquila.
Tanta fue mi ansiedad que me confundí de día y fui a esperar el bus un día antes jejejejeje. Esa parte de la historia fue super cómica, ya le había avisado a todo el mundo que me iría de viaje y no vendría a trabajar al día siguiente y bueno al final no salí esa noche. Este error lo crean o
no me tranquilizó bastante para el día del viaje. Ya cuando fui embarcar no me sentía tan ansiosa y fue más leve la experiencia.
I spent days explaining to my daughter that we were going on a trip and that she would have to behave in order to enjoy the trip. She was already telling everyone a week before that she was going on the trip and what her destination would be. My anxiety was high because I was thinking about Amanda's behavior during the trip, but trusting in God that she would stay calm.
So much was my anxiety that I got the day mixed up and went to wait for the bus a day early hehehehehehehe. That part of the story was super funny, I had already warned everyone that I was going on a trip and would not come to work the next day and well in the end I did not go out that night. This mistake, believe it or not
This mistake, believe it or not, calmed me down enough for the day of the trip. When I went to board the plane I didn't feel so anxious and the experience was lighter.
Salimos de la ciudad donde vivimos en un bus de la empresa que vende el tour y sus dueños estaban con nosotros como la guía turística y el chofer. Personas muy cariñosas y serviciales. Amanda y yo dormimos hasta que llegamos en la ciudad de nuestro destino, hicimos una segunda parada (en la primera nos quedamos durmiendo), comimos y nos dirigimos al lugar donde ya nos esperaba otro bus para llevarnos a Paraguay. Nuestro tour consistió en ir a la Hidroeléctrica de Itaipu por el lado de Paraguay, hacer compras en ese país y volver al hotel. El siguiente día iríamos a las cataratas de Foz de Iguaçu y volveríamos a nuestras casas.
We left the city where we live in a bus of the company that sells the tour and its owners were with us as the tour guide and the driver. Very caring and helpful people. Amanda and I slept until we arrived in the city of our destination, we made a second stop (in the first one we slept), ate and went to the place where another bus was waiting to take us to Paraguay. Our tour consisted of going to the Itaipu Hydroelectric Plant on the Paraguayan side, shopping in Paraguay and returning to the hotel. The next day we would go to Foz do Iguaçu waterfalls and return to our homes.
Todo fue una experiencia nueva para mí donde puse a prueba mi paciencia como mamá y mi capacidad de controlar situaciones nuevas para mí hija. Al final, ambas disfrutamos y Amanda tuvo un momento madre e hija que después podrá ver en fotos. Por mi parte siempre tendré en mi mente la inmensidad de los paisajes y todo lo que vimos. Conocimos personas en el viaje que nos apoyaron esos dos días e hicieron más llevadero el tour, por lo que me siento muy agradecida.
Foz de Iguaçu es un lugar muy lindo y por ser turístico tiene muchas atracciones que se pueden visitar, sin duda alguna iría de nuevo. Me faltó conocer varias cosas y entre ellas el famoso punto triple donde se encuentra la frontera Brasil-Paraguay-Argentina. También hay unos paseos en barco que se pueden hacer por las cataratas que cuando vuelva los haré.
En fin, fue un viaje especial que nos sacó de la rutina y me dejó claro de que puedo viajar con mi niña. Espero este año hacer otro viaje e ir planificando todos los años dos viajes para ir conociendo este país que me recibió con los brazos abiertos. Después les traigo otros post con cada paseo en específico. Abrazos.
It was all a new experience for me where I tested my patience as a mom and my ability to handle new situations for my daughter. In the end, we both enjoyed it and Amanda had a mother-daughter moment that she will later be able to see in pictures. As for me, I will always have in my mind the vastness of the landscapes and all that we saw. We met people on the trip who supported us those two days and made the tour more bearable, for which I feel very grateful.
Foz do Iguaçu is a very nice place and for being touristy it has many attractions to visit, I would definitely go again. I missed several things and among them the famous triple point where the Brazil-Paraguay-Argentina border is located. There are also some boat rides that can be done by the falls that when I return I will do them.
Anyway, it was a special trip that took us out of the routine and made it clear to me that I can travel with my little girl. I hope to make another trip this year and plan two trips every year to get to know this country that welcomed me with open arms. Later I will bring you other posts with

Que hermosa experiencia la que viviste con tu nena, estoy segura que las recargó muchísimo de energía. Siempre es necesario, incluso vital, salir de la rutina al menos una vez por semana con alguna actividad, y dentro de todo me alegra que estés en clases de baile para esto, y dentro de las posibilidades, hacer viajes así sean Full Days a la playa para respirar y darle calma a la mente, porque efectivamente, la vida es más que trabajo y responsabilidades de hogar...
