¡Hola apreciables Hiveans! Nos reportamos una semana más para compartirles cómo pasamos nuestro último fin de semana, y ese fue uno especial, ya que recientemente cumplimos 9 meses de nuestra relación. 🥰💕 Y por una fecha tan particular armamos un plan especial. Así que decidimos regresar al centro histórico de nuestra ciudad, en el que descubrimos nuevos lugares y atracciones entre sus misteriosas calles. Así que, ¡acompáñenos en esta nueva aventura! ☺️
Hello there esteemed Hiveans! We check in for another week to share with you how we spent our last weekend, and that was a special one, as we recently celebrated 9 months of our relationship. 🥰💕 And for such a particular date we put together a special plan. So we decided to return to the historic center of our city, where we discovered new places and attractions among its mysterious streets. So, join us in this new adventure! ☺️
Comenzaremos explicando la razón por la qué regresamos al centro, ya que recientemente fuimos a mirar una exposición de surrealistas, pero @panconcajeta necesitaba un cinturón nuevo, ya que el que tenía se dañó bajo circunstancias muy misteriosas… 🤨 Así que decidimos ir por él, cómo pueden ver en esta foto de aquellas concurridas y ajetreadas calles llenas de comercios y vida.
We'll start explaining the reason why we went back downtown, as we recently went to look at an exhibition of surrealists, but @panconcajeta needed a new belt, as the one he had was damaged under very mysterious circumstances... 🤨 So we decided to go for it, as you can see in this picture of those busy and bustling streets full of stores and life.
Posteriormente regresamos hacía la plancha del zócalo a buscar algo rico para comer pues @fclore22 no había comido y ya sentía mucha hambre y la plancha era una buena opción ya que aún seguía ahí la “Fiesta de las Culturas Indígenas de México”, que cómo su nombre lo describe les ofrece espacios a diferentes emprendedores y artesanos indígenas de todas partes y culturas de México para que ofrezcan sus productos, servicios entre otros a los capitalinos. Y cómo ofrecían gran diversidad de comida decidimos pasar en esta ocasión por un poco. 😋 Así que de todas las cosas que ofrecían, se decidió por una “doradita” que es una “tortilla” de maíz azul muy delgada, que se coce hasta que se hace muy crujiente. Se acompaña con frijoles, queso y verdura. Tiene una textura muy interesante y saben deliciosas.
Afterwards we went back to the Zócalo to look for something delicious to eat because @fclore22 hadn't eaten and was already feeling very hungry and the plancha was a good option since the "Fiesta de las Culturas Indígenas de México" was still there, which as its name describes it offers spaces to different entrepreneurs and indigenous artisans from all parts and cultures of Mexico to offer their products, services among others to the capital. And how they offered great diversity of food we decided to stop by this time for some. 😋 So of all the things they offered, decided on a "doradita" which is a very thin blue corn "tortilla" that is cooked until it becomes very crispy. It is served with beans, cheese and vegetables. It has a very interesting texture and tastes delicious.
Cómo hacía calor, decidimos comprar $20 (mxn) de “Chilate” Una bebida tradicional de Oaxaca y Guerrero que contiene cacao molido, canela, azúcar y más, muy rico y refrescante, aunque al principio tiene un sabor amargo, con los tragos toma un sabor delicioso. 🥛😋
As it was hot, we decided to buy $20 (mxn) of "Chilate" A traditional drink from Oaxaca and Guerrero that contains ground cocoa, cinnamon, sugar and more, very rich and refreshing, although at first it has a bitter taste, with drinks it takes on a delicious flavor. 🥛😋
Por último, compramos un tamal verde con carne de cerdo típico de Oaxaca, envuelto en su hoja de plátano. Este en especial era muy cremoso, tenía buen sabor y parecía contener mucha manteca, lo disfrutamos mucho. ☺️
Finally, we bought a green tamal with pork meat typical of Oaxaca, wrapped in its banana leaf. This one in particular was very creamy, had good flavor and seemed to contain a lot of lard, we enjoyed it a much ☺️.
Finalmente nos compramos estos minis dulces típicos, y les mostramos estas fotos que tomamos del evento y del centro en general. 🤗💕
Y, aunque ciertamente comimos un poco en la fiesta, en realidad se hacía tarde y teníamos más hambre 😣. Así que buscamos por un buen lugar para comer, sin embargo, en un lugar gentrificado como el centro, en donde se inflan los precios por el turismo, resulta un poco difícil, así que exploramos entre varias opciones, pero casi todo estaba muy lleno, y no encontrábamos una buena. 😕
Finally we bought ourselves these typical mini sweets, and we show you these pictures we took of the event and the center in general. 🤗💕
And, although we certainly ate a bit at the party, it was actually getting late and we were hungrier 😣. So we looked around for a good place to eat, however, in a gentrified place like downtown, where prices are inflated by tourism, it's a bit difficult, so we explored among several options, but almost everything was very crowded, and we couldn't find a good one. 😕
Y fue así, explorando muchas alternativas en el centro de la CDMX, que encontramos esta curiosa exposición cuya entrada fue gratuita que al parecer estaba acercada a la población en general por un banco muy conocido. La colección era sobre piezas de arte, algunas reconstruidas, y aparentemente todas originales, de arte católico de diferentes lugares y épocas, pero todas tenían en común representar la fe y religión más popular del mundo.
La verdad fue una gran sorpresa para nosotras encontrar esta “joya” en la ciudad. Sin más explicación les dejamos las fotos para que las aprecien. 😲🤗💕
And so it was, exploring many alternatives in the center of the CDMX, that we found this curious exhibition whose entrance was free and which apparently was approached to the general population by a well-known bank. The collection was about pieces of art, some reconstructed, and apparently all original, of Catholic art from different places and times, but all had in common to represent the most popular faith and religion in the world.
It was a great surprise for us to find this "jewel" in the city. Without further explanation we leave you the pictures so you can appreciate them. 😲🤗💕
El tiempo se nos pasó muy rápido apreciando todas las curiosas obras, e intentando descubrir sus exquisitos detalles, y al final decidimos algo mucho más informal para cenar. Para nuestra buena suerte en nuestro camino nos encontramos con este local de tacos chilangos a muy buenos precios, y al probarlos nos dimos cuenta de que también ofrecían un excelente servicio y sabor, ¡los recomendamos muchísimo! @fclore22 pidió una orden de tacos de pechuga de pollo y @panconcajeta una torta de pastor, y los acompañamos con una jarra de agua de fresa, que lo asentaba todo de maravilla. 😋💕💕🌮.
The time passed us very quickly appreciating all the curious works, and trying to discover their exquisite details, and in the end we decided on something much more casual for dinner. To our good fortune on our way we came across this local chilango taco place at very good prices, and upon tasting them we realized that they also offered excellent service and taste, we highly recommend them! @fclore22 ordered an order of chicken breast tacos and @panconcajeta a torta de pastor, and we accompanied them with a pitcher of strawberry water, which settled everything wonderfully. 😋💕💕🌮.
Finalmente, se nos hacía tarde y regresamos a nuestras casas, antes le tomamos esa foto a una de las varias colecciones que se encuentran en el centro y al día siguiente pasamos a comer de nuevo unos ricos caldos de gallina al mismo puesto que hace varios meses, pero en esta ocasión @fclore22 pidió unas enchiladas verdes con carne de gallina, mientras que @panconcajeta sí comió un sabroso caldo de pechuga de pollo.
Finally, it was getting late and we went back to our homes, before we took that photo to one of the several collections that are in the center and the next day we went to eat again some rich chicken broths to the same stand as several months ago, but this time @fclore22 ordered some green enchiladas with chicken meat, while @panconcajeta did eat a tasty chicken breast broth.
