Una niña sentada en una silla de madera, tocando el violín, posando sus dedos sobre el diapasón sin trastes, mientras su otra mano acaricia las cuerdas con el arco. Su rostro, adornado con pecas, con los ojos cerrados, concentrada en las mágicas notas. La niña lleva un vestido azul cuya falda está hecha de tul. Hermoso cabello rizado y los pies descubiertos que posan sobre los refuerzos horizontales de la silla (derecho e izquierdo).
Quizá, esté tocando Lullaby de Brahms o “canción de cuna” como comúnmente la conocemos. Melodía la cual ha aprendido de memoria, pues desde antes de su nacimiento le había estado escuchando.
Los pequeños dedos de su tierna mano izquierda empezaban a tener consistencia para presionar adecuadamente cada cuerda. Recuerdo cuando empezó con la flauta dulce DO-RE-MI-FA-Sol-LA-SI…, una y otra vez hasta que un día me deleitó con “Los Pollitos dicen pio, pio, pio, …”, había mejorado la coordinación y vocalización. Hermosos momentos de ser papá.
Hay recuerdos que hieren y otros que nos llenan y alegran el día. La imagen de esta semana me ha conmovido… Regreso al pasado y es como si lo estuviese viviendo en este momento al escribir. Ver sentada a Sofía en su taburete frente al teclado, ataviada con su vestido rosa que tanto le gustaba y la tiara de rosas…

I remember when she started with the recorder DO-RE-MI-FA-Sol-LA-SI…, over and over again until one day she delighted me with “Los Pollitos say pio, pio, pio,…”, she had improved coordination and vocalization. Beautiful moments of being a dad.
There are memories that hurt and others that fill us and brighten our day. This week's image has moved me... I return to the past and it is as if I were living it at this moment when writing. Thanks for the appreciation. This week's image brought back many memories of seeing my daughter Sofia sitting on the stool practising on the piano. A 10-year-old angel who is no longer with us.
