To have a friend, you must be a friend.

Some people do not find it challenging to make new friends, simply because they are social, or they know how to start a conversation, however, some people find it really cumbersome to find and make new friends.

Being social beings, we can't just do life alone, that's why we all need true friends in the journey of life.

Here are simply easy-to-make friends tips, I would share with you.

Show interest

Be the first to show interest in that person you want to have as a friend, when you show genuine interest, they are likely to reciprocate.

Be Approachable

Avoid wearing a long face all the time, smiling is just a perfect way to practice being approachable.

Some people might just be too scared to come close to you when your face isn't even accommodating in the first place.

Be Courteous

Nobody wants to be friends with someone rude, proud, or ill-mannered, little words like, please, excuse me, and sorry goes a long way.

Practice the golden rule
Do unto others what you meant them to do to you.

Treat people exactly the way you want them to treat you. When you are kind to people, you attract kind people too.

Find people who share common interests with you

No wonder all of us on Hive have made good new friends because we all share something in common 😃😃.

Just like the blockchain has different communities, find people who share the same interest with you that way it will be a lot more easier to connect and start a conversation.

Stay true to your friends, be there for them when they need you the most

Be someone they can count on and trust.

Listen more and talk less

This helps you avoid jumping to conclusions or assumptions which often destroys good friendships.

Communication is the most important ingredient in any friendship, the more you communicate, the more the bond becomes stronger.

You do not always need to wait for them to reach out first, you too could reach out to them and encourage them.
Make time for your friends, find time to have a heart-to-heart conversation and genuinely show care about them.

Respect and show Acceptance
This is important because we all come from different backgrounds, races, or cultures.

We need to respect other people's opinions, views, religions, and choices and this means we must respect boundaries too.

Not imposing our views on the other person, rather we want to see it from their perspective too, and respect their boundaries and views.

Show Gratitude

For every little act of kindness, they show, appreciation for their kind gesture, and be willing to share with them too.

And remember that your friends have got their lives to live too, Life doesn't always revolve around you. Give them space when they need it, most time when we choke people, they avoid us, so allow them time to explore and have fun too without you in the picture.😊😊
