Silence broken, artblock hopefully over

Well… I have not posted for a long a$$ time.

After trying and trying and giving up and trying …… and so on I finally got something down that I felt was good enough to share with the talented community of Hive!

The image does not have a name and the reason for posting is to POST …. Just to break the ice and get my ass on ecency and be a part of the community again.

But as usual I have my process up for your pleasure 🥰

First sketching, and boy oh boy did I sketch a lot before finally settling and finishing a drawing!!
Pink is the magic colour

LINEART … yeah …. Lineart, i use my favourite brush in procreate called syrup and just go over everything, I have gotten into the habit of working the lineart at a pixel level and I feel like it shows in the progress of my artwork, but I’ll let you be the judge on that ❤️

Skin…. Colour …. I’m working on my style of drawing and colouring, its slowly evolving and changing. I’m learning to utilise procreate better and using the resources they and other users have put up. I was on the fence about the skin tone and how it was looking but honesty I’m happy with the end result.

HAIR everyone loves hair, drawing it is soooooooooooo much fun O.o and not at all tedious or difficult to do (sarcasm) …. It took me a while to do this but finally I put the base colour down and then added texture with a “hair” brush I found online. It’s a nifty little brush that gives a lot of life to the image.

Clothes, after completing the face and the hair I turned my attention to the clothes…. A pretty blue colour got picked and I just had fun with it, again I’m changing my approach to colouring and finding what works best for me…. It’s a work in progress but I know I’m gonna be using this technique again. Also the whites of the eyes got their “colour”

Pretty pretty eyes, I got down and dirty with the pixels again…. It seems to pay off and I love her eyes, they are a bit “empty” or expressionless but the colour is pretty 😍

Background work and sparkle ✨ I tried to have fun with the surrounding and I like it …. The tree was made with a foliage brush that comes with procreate and the sparkle is done with a neon brush I’m literally in love with 😍 now that I’m writing this I see that the sparkles were added in the image above as well, lazy me is not gonna change that and I’m leaving this here 😂

The finished product again with watermark and everything …. The rest of the background was from a Pinterest stock photo of a random living room that I just messed around with… nothing to fancy,
