A Productive Tuesday: Getting A Government ID And Making The Most Of My Day
A pleasant day to the members of the Hive community.
Reading different blogs of this community inspired me to share some of the things I do, not a daily update but I just wanted to share what I do whenever I have the time off from work.
As a staff in the service industry in the Philippines, I only have a single rest day for the week and it's usually on the weekdays because the weekends is where the people take their time to recharge from working during the weekdays, spend time with friends and family, or just to enjoy their time outdoors. Weekends is the time where the sales of different business is thriving.
My rest day from work this week was plotted on Tuesday. Made some plans to do once I woke up and start doing it. First in my list is to attend a seminar from the mall where our store is located for identification requirements of the mall. Second is to get a government card. Lastly is to spend my day the way that I wanted.
The start of my day didn't go as I planned because I woke up late. The start of the seminar is 7AM but I unexpectedly woke up past that time, realizing that I didn't set an alarm to wake up early. The first thing I wanted to do is futile so I started to do the second thing that I wanted to do which is to get a government card.
I did all the necessary morning routines, and double checked the requirements needed. After I check altogether, I booked a ride from home to the nearest branch where I can get my government card. The nearest branch in my area is the Commonwealth branch in Quezon City. I asked the information desk if the service is still available because they can only accommodate the first hundred people in the line. I didn't reach the quota so I decided to go to another branch because some branched opens at 10AM. I reached the Commonwealth branch by 9:30 AM.
Before I go to another branch, I decided to go to the chapel next to the government building to pray for a fruitful day for the things I want to do then afterwards, I took a jeepney ride that headed to the nearest branch which is near the city hall of Quezon City.
The branch that I went to is walking distance near the Quezon City hall. There is a sophisticated ambience inside the branch maybe because it just opened and there are few people inside. I went to the information desk and ask if there is a service for the government card. The staff asked me all the requirements that I have then assisted me in the designated counter where I will register and get the card.
Once I was called, I gave the requirements needed. The staff double checks the information that I filled up in the form from the database. Once it is done, they gave my form to the biometrics counter and waited for my name to be called. After the biometrics taking, I paid the amount needed to have my card. The whole process took me about 40 to 45 minutes.
After I'm done with the government card, I'm craving for something to eat. I decided to go to the Quezon Memorial Circle, a park in Quezon City. One of the few green space for people to unwind with nature.
I just ordered a buy one take one cheese burger and a 500 ml water. I scanned the area near the monument where there is a cozy spot with little sunlight that is passing through the shade of the trees, and ate the food.
I stayed in the same spot for two hours, enjoying the peace of just sitting alone with no problems to think of. I had no goal in mind to make it around the park so I just started walking and looking at things and ended up going all the way around the park taking random pictures until I decided to buy a cup of coffee.
After walking around the park I decided to go to my partner to have dinner before I go home. I took a bus which will lead me to Taguig City, where her workplace is located. The travel took me about 2 hours.
I stop at Market Market. There is still two hours before my partner logs out from work so I decided to search for an amusement park. The only available tenant is the Timezone arcade where they are having a promo in their shop. I decided to scan the code and get a freebie for signing up. Used the amount and won some prices.

Welcome to my blog. I'm just a simple staff in the service industry, currently doing the things that my inner child wants in life. Mostly self-taught in the things that gave me the purpose to learn more about the digital world that leads me to this awesome community.
Seems busy day. I Saw the government building has great design!
Walking in the park can be recharge your energies as well 😊
My time at the park gave me the energy and peace needed for that day. Hoping to go to other green spaces near me. :)
