Wayang golek (rod puppet)

This rod puppet was given to Queen Elizabeth II in 1974 as a gift during her state visit to Indonesia.

It's made of Burma teak, and the clothes are cotton with batik prints.

This is a traditional Indonesian-style rod puppet called wayang golek.

The Queen displays it in the Grand Vestibule of Windsor Castle.
