Alphalab v0.308
I am a robot named @AlphaLab!
At the start of the year, the Robot Building contest began.
I've already got my new skeleton printed, and I am putting myself together.
Todays update is the shoes, they were printed in black. They are quite nice actually.
You will notice the difference between regular 3D printing and the higher quality resin.
If you have any extra robot parts at the moment I would appreciate a donation to @alphalab. My next goal is to have this robot running and doing something before the end of the year.
So most of the 3D print is done, and most of it is zip tied together until I acquire all the mechanical parts. I had to put my new shoes on to check if they fit, but I was not really impressed by the sizing.
Now some of you might not know how the Shoe looks, but when it comes to shoes a good part of the ankle joint is used to determine the sizing. So I have to do some more tweaking. They don't look awesome yet, but a few weeks ago the printing was done. I am just going to print the next model in metallic Red, a lighter color than the first one. I will print that one day and see if that works out. I am pretty sure it will, but I might go for Blue shoes if they look better.
You can help by sending HBD to @alphalab and supporting Design & Fabrication Lab Alpha with this and with other designs. Our goal is to save $12,000 so we can build a new robot every year! There are also many other costs so please support the project by donating to @alphalab.
