We begin today from the world of music and entertainment [The birthday of Christina Aguilera]. On this day in 1980, Christina Aguilera, the American popstar was born in Staten Island, New York, U.S.A. Happy birthday to her.

From the world of music and entertainment, we move over to the United States of America [the impeachment of Donald Trump by the House of Representatives]. Do you also know that on this day in 2019, the Nancy Pelosi led House of Representatives impeached then President Donald Trump after charging him for abuse of power and obstruction of congress. By so doing, Donald Trump became the third US President to be impeached by the House of Representatives.

From the USA, we move over to Pakistan [the election of Kim Dae-Jung as President]. Now, on this day in 1997, Kim Dae-Jung, an opposition candidate was elected President of South Korea. Thus, he became the first opposition leader to be elected to that position.

From South Korea, we move over to the world of movies and entertainment [the birthday of actor Brad Pitt]. Do you know that on this day in 1963, American renounced actor Brad Pitt was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, U.S.A. Happy birthday to him.

Gentlemen, we'll round off our today's look in history from the USA [the abolition of slave trade in the USA]. Do you know that on this day in 1865, slavery was formally abolished in the United States following the thirteenth amendment to the Constitution.
