Larry Is Alive 12 July 2024: I Am Alive Challenge
Hello everyone and warm welcome to my Larry hunt for friday, the 12th day of July, 2024. England will meet Spain in the Euro 2024 final in Berlin on Sunday, after a last-minute goal by substitute Ollie Watkins secured victory over the Netherlands. The game ended The Netherlands 1-2 England.
The Spanish national team's attempt to win the competition for the fourth time, is looking promising as they defeated France by Lamine Yamal became the youngest striker in European Championship history as Spain defeated France in a thrilling match to advance to the Euro 2024 final.
So who'll win this year's competition? Well let's keep our fingers crossed as the semi-finals take centre stage starting from tomorrow

Larry begins his look at today in history from the USA. He finds out that on this day in 1984, Democratic presidential candidate Walter F. Mondale chose Geraldine Ferraro as his running mate, making her the first woman nominated for vice president by a major political party in the United States.
From the USA, Larry goes to France. He finds out that on this day in 2005, Prince Albert II, the only son of Prince Rainier III and Grace Kelly, formally ascended the throne of Monaco.
From France, Larry goes to Sao Tome and Principé. He finds out that on this day in 1975, the island nation of Sao Tome and Principe gained her independence from Portugal.
From Sao Tome and Principé, Larry goes to the world of music and entertainment. He finds out that on this day in 1962, The Rolling Stones, an iconic British rock band, performed their first show as the Rollin' Stones at a London club.
From the world of music and entertainment, Larry goes to Lithuania. He finds out that on this day in 1920, after successfully expelling the evading Soviet forces, the independent country of Lithuania signed a peace treaty with Russia.
Finally, Larry rounds off his look at today in #history from England. He finds out that on this day in 1543, King Henry VIII of England married Catherine Parr, his sixth and last wife.
Having seen all these pieces of historical events, Larry zooms off to begin his daily deliveries.
