Mr. Duke is an astute politician. His exploits in the political circle is well known to both his friends and foes alike. He is indeed a giant force to reckon with, any time any day! In fact both the ruling party and the official opposition party alike will be extremely glad to have him in their fold.

In recognition of his contribution towards the success of his political party in the general election, the President, Khan appointed Mr. Duke as one of his cabinet members. He was placed in charge of the works ministry.

On assumption of office, most people hailed his appointment while a minute section was pessimistic about it. At the beginning, he appeared to have shut up all those doubting his credibility but as time goes on the pessimists point of view became justified.

The works ministry awarded a major contract for the construction of a drainage system running into millions of dollars. It was hailed as a landmark project of the administration. It was planned to be completed within eighteen months. But eight months after the flagging off ceremony nothing was heard about the project. The President reshuffled his cabinet and appointed Engr. Dunno to oversee the works ministry.

It was then that Engr. Dunno discovered a huge fraud in the award of the drainage system contract. Further investigation strongly linked the outgone head of the works ministry (Mr. Duke) to the fraud too. Security officials went after him and got him arrested for prosecution. Most people were surprised about the whole incident while the few pessimists weren't afterall.
