The New season is On...

The last season of Splinterlands is concluded and the new one is on which is sort of exciting because now we also have the new set of reward cards available in the game. This was already announced that new reward cards will be available from 15th August onwards which is also the start of the new season. With every new season, I need to buy the battle pass which is known as the wild pass and it is mandatory for everyone who is playing in the wild format. I play in the wild format and this is why it is a mandatory requirement for me to enable the battles for the season.

Last season I ended up in the Champion League because I wanted to be there and for the last many months I have been following a similar strategy so maybe this season I will try to do something different if it is possible for me. Ultimately I will try to enter this season in the Champion League.

A couple of days back I have already used a bigger chunk of glint tokens to buy reward cards from the older edition. Now those cards are not available anymore in the game however from the 3rd party market we always have the option to buy but on the game website, we are not going to get it in the reward shop since these are replaced by the new cards. Now I am going to spend some more glint to buy stuff in the reward shop and see what I am going to get.

Now the prices are increased from 25,000 to 35,000 for each draw and I purchased 3 so this is what I have received.

Its confirmed that I will be getting legendary cards but I have got one gold foil legendary which is fantastic and this was unexpected. These three cards are from the new edition Rebellion and it's good because now I can grow my Rebellion collection using the in-game glint tokens.

Now this is another set of rewards where I have got ten cards from the rebellion edition and it looks fantastic because this is how I can grow my rebellion cards holding gradually. I know that things take time but I am excited to have the new cards in my collection from the latest edition.

For now, this is the purchase I have made in the reward shop and I will continue to buy more stuff later but it's good for the day. Since I have already purchased the wild pass I can play the battles throughout the season and the one pass is valid for the same season. We are also going to have some changes in the game with voucher tokens which are already announced and the changes will be implemented in parts. For example, I can use the voucher tokens to buy a wild pass at the moment but it will not be available from next month onwards as the game will bring changes where they discourage this type of use case for the token and they will bring another token utility in the game.

This season has just started so there is a lot to do in this season now I will be trying to unlock the next league my goal is to unlock the highest league in this segment by this weekend if possible. Sometimes what I try does not happen because there is more competition and I lose a lot of battles so it's just a plan of strategy that does not mean that it is going to happen the same. But this battle is all about where we try our best to achieve what we want and sometimes it takes longer than we expect.
