SPS Price and Staking APR

Splintershards (SPS) is a governance token of the splinterlands game. The last two weeks are good for this token because the price is going up. The price for this token has increased significantly and up by almost double the price which is good because everyone who is holding the token must be happy however whoever was buying is not happy and that's me. I know that the price of tokens will grow for sure but I was not expecting it to happen now. Because of this I had to put a pause on the buying and it looks like my two hundred K goal for SPS is going to take some time. I wanted to make it 150K SPS by the end of this year but that also does not seem to be feasible for me this time and I am waiting for some correction in the price but have no idea when is it going to happen.

SPS Price

The price chart below clearly shows how the price has grown in the last month while it was quite low in 2022. This is the token that has gone up to $1 in 2021 when it was launched and now its price has gone below $0.02. It is always that the price has gone down because of the market effect and we were in the bear market sentiment. I'm not saying that we are in a bull market now but certainly, we are in a phase where things are in a crucial state. I mean to say this time we are neither in a bearish market nor a Bull market. The current state is a bit different this time if the Bitcoin price starts growing then we are heading towards the bull run cycle but if it goes down then it can be a signal that we are still not ready to go there because of the low volume.

Talking about SPS I believe that it is highly undervalued this time and now since the price is up I'm holding it for buying further but I will be buying it once the price is settled or I see it going down further. As a buyer, I always prefer to buy the coin at the lowest price which I have been doing when it was at its lowest almost two months back. The price was also triggered in July when the reward multiplier was introduced in the game and now with the launch of Land 1.5 and Rebellion pack in the game things are on the rise.

SPS Holding & Staking APR

Here is the snapshot of what I am holding at the moment and the APR which has been reduced in the last few weeks. It was quite stable at the rate of 15% but I can see a drop in the percentage in the last few weeks and now it's slightly more than 13%. I would not say its excellent but it is something that we cannot say its bad because in traditional investment options, we can earn about six to ten per cent depending upon different products. But with SPS we can earn more than 13% which is still a considerable percentage of APR but again its up to you whether you want to go with it or not. I am OK with this and will keep my stale as it is because there are some additional benefits to keeping it in the game account.

I am a player in the game and for that, I need a higher reward multiplier to get a better reward in the game and this is the reason why SPS is a requirement so I will have to keep it. I am getting the benefit of a higher multiplier and because of my holding, I end up seasons in the Diamond League. When I'm already getting better rewards in the game and on top of that I can grow my holding by this percentage which is more than thirteen then I think it is a great deal for me and this is the reason why I am not looking for any alternative. If you are an investor and you are holding your SPS in the game account itself then you are also earning this APR but you can also put your SPS holding on rent that will get you some additional reward on top of this APR.

Now it's your call whether you want to keep your mistake in the game wallet and want to earn a dual benefit that includes the standard API along with the additional reward that you can generate by renting out your sps power. There is just one catch that you need to understand the rental for SPS expires in a week and this is why you need to cancel it manually the person who got the delegation will be able to use it however you will not be earning anything on that after seven days.

I have been bullish on SPS since its launch because I believe with the growth of splinterlands the value of SPS is also going to rise significantly. This has happened in the past and I am optimistic that it is going to happen again however the market sentiments are going to play an important role and once the market is in a better situation then a similar impact can also be seen on the SPS value. Before that happens I want to accumulate and reach my goal of 200K SPS and would be very happy if I make it happen in the next few months but for that, a low price for the sps coin can help me to achieve this milestone.
