My Buying in Bitcoin Halving Promo Sale

Finally, the day I arrived for Bitcoin having a promo sale on splinterlands. I'm pretty sure that everyone in crypto is aware that we are going to have Bitcoin halving very soon and it is just approximately four days away from now. Splinterland has started the promo sale which will be live for approx 15 days. There are two promotional cards launched by the game and within this duration, you have the chance to buy them. Certain rewards are going to be distributed by the game but for that, a point system is there. The more points you earn through your buying means you have a better chance to rank on the leaderboard which will give you a better reward. There is a multiplier that started with three X but it will continue to drop with each passing day which means whoever buys the cards on day one will be able to avail the highest multiplier for points accumulation.

Promo Cards

There are two promo cards listed on the sale. One is called Baron Fyatt which is a Legendary card and another one is Henchling Enforcer which is a rare card. Prices for these carts are also influenced by the Bitcoin halving mechanism which I think you can check out better on the shop page that is live on the game website.

The cost of one card is 31250 DEC/credit and for another one its 3125 DEC/credit. We can avail 50% discount using the voucher tokens however this can not be exactly 50% because of different pricing as per halving. Both cards have the halving ability and we already have 1 card in the game with this ability. This card was released in 2020 when the Bitcoin halving was there.

My Purchase

This is a promo event and usually eye participate in every promo sale and here I am to participate and buy whatever I had planned for now. I have bought three legendary cards and 25 rare cards. I have used vouchers to avail discounts and paid through Dec tokens. I paid out a total of 1711 voucher tokens along with 86325 DEC tokens. We also have the option to make the payment using credits but I am holding more DEC tokens hence I completed the transaction through this token and this token is also available at some discount which I think is a good idea to go for.

I got one gold file out of 25 cards purchased and because this is not a good combination I bought another one card so that I can combine all and make it 25 into one.

Now I have purchased these cards and will be trying to see how they work also I am going to make myself familiar with both the cards so that I can use them in the battle. Undoubtedly the ability is very good and even I have the cards that were released in the last Bitcoin halving cycle in 2020 and this is a good addition to my card collection.

Leaderboard

I completed my purchase on day one and I wanted to do this because it will give me the maximum points multiplier. If you are planning to buy then its better to do it today before the multiplier is reduced so that you get the higher benefit however you will have the option to buy in the next two weeks but the multiplier will not be the same. After my purchase, I can see that I am on 91 ranks which I think is good for now but I know that this will decrease because a lot of people will be buying within the sale duration. I have also shared the top 5 players on the rank and they have a significant amount of points

I hope that with this promo event, many vouchers and the easy token will be burnt and its good for the game. Burning more tokens is good for the overall game economy and I expect a nice participation from the player community because promo cards are usually valuable in the game. After all, we can buy them in a certain timeline. Once this promo sale is over then we will have no option to buy it from the shop and the only option we will be left with is to buy in the open market from another player and we don't know what price it will be. Although I have never won any reward but am still hopeful to get something just in case I get lucky this time.
