Visiting Sighisoara
For today I invite you in Sighisoara, in the heart of Transylvania, a medieval town in Romania, one of the best preserved 12t century architecture with inhabited citadels in Europe an Unesco World Heritage Site. You will finde many highlights strolling through the city, first the Clock Tower, 64 meters tall, which dates back to the 14th century a symbol ob Sighisoara..
The town is filled with colorful houses, cobblestone vibrant streets and fortifiedwalls.
Here the map with the heart of the town, sorronded by medieval buildings a perfect place for a rest.
This charming wooden staicase lesds us up to the Church on the hill, built in the 17th century.
A very big variety from artisan shops sell handmade jewerly, pottery, textiles and more. In any case a walk with blending history, culture, breattaking views, fine food and fun with friendly people.
After so much walking and beautiful impressions we are hungry and there are many good restaurants with local food, really cheap for us.
From here is also a great base to visit viscri, biertan and the fortified churches of Tranylvania. I hope you will have an amazing time visiting the city. .
Thanks for your visit have a nice day!
