The traditional old wooden houses
Close to the border to Lichtenstein and Austria lies the beautiful city of Werdenberg, the smallest town in Switzerland with a lot of history consistig of around 40 wooden traditional houses with around 60 inhabitants. The wooden settlement is surrounded from a medieval town wall. I've already written about the castle here in Werdenberg with a wonderful view to the mountains and lake.
The wooden houses in the center date back to the middle Ages. The combinatio of timber framing and wooden elements gives the houses a unique rustic charm, preserving much history and the local cultural heritage.
The hoses often feature steep roofsto allow snow to slide off during winter time.
A quite place to walk with nice views to the region and here a restored colorfuly Sun clock .
I hope you enjoyed the walk in this wonderful place, wish you all the best!

The fact that these houses are still standing to date is amazing.
Absolutely many thanks!
There are also some villages like this between the border from France to Germany, the old wooden houses are so cute and special, it's so important to preserve it , these houses make me think like I'm jumping in the past or in a fantasy world,😁
Absolutely, many thanks!
