The most popular vacation destination in Switzerland

Engelberg in canton of Obwalden a picturesque village is not just a winter sports resort, it is a winter paradise with the most beautiful skiing and snowboarding slopes. With the Titlis Rotair you can also travel faster than ever directly to the ice even in summer with a stunning alpine scenery. Biking, climbing, hiking or golfing, Engelberg has a lot to offer in every season. The photos are from a short visit that I madet at the beginning of April.

Engelber is easily accessible by trainan or car. From Lucerne you are in 45 min. drive here.
If you are in Engelberg, you should take the Titlis mountain railroad up to 3,020 m above sea level in around 30 minutes you will be there. The ride on the TITLIS Rotair, the world's first rotary cable car, is a real experience. Or else you can visit the Benedictine monastery founded 1120 with his rich history.

Walking around the charming village, try the Engelberg Cheese in die Factory, enjoy local dishes this intinerary provides a mix of adventure, history and relaxation posible just in one day.
