If you want to see goats, sheep and cows in Oman, it's not always easy, simply because there are no pastures or stables like here, and the goats and the sheep move freely everywhere. In the mountains, you can always see the head of a goat peering curiously from behind a stone. They play a important role in Omans mountains regions, whwere their adaptability make them invaluable to the local communities.

Are the goats being owned by individuals or are they wildlife creatures?

I think in Oman goats are both private livestock and, to some extent, free-roaming animals as here in the mountains. Many thanks!

At first, I thought the background was snowy until I look closer and see that it's actually far off areas down below a mountain. Amazing capture :)
