On the border along Laufenburg
Napoleon divided Laufenburg city more than 200 years ago in two, Laufenburg in Switzerland and Laufenburg in Germany, the Rhine river is the only remaining barrier that separates the two towns. Common festivals bring the medieval alleys to life each time of the year. They are connected by a wooden bridge, which one of the oldest and longest in Europe. Today a walk on the Swiss side with very beautiful old architecture and many special attractions.
A charming old town with narrow winding streets and so close to the Rhine is today a good location for free time activities.
Thanks for stopping by, have a beautiful Weekend!
