X Blue Metrics for September 30 2024
Waves!
That's the best way to describe social media in general and X (formerly Twitter) specifically. Not only am I talking about activity on these platforms, but results. My results in particular.
Here's what I mean:
This looks like an upcycle. In reality, it's a downcycle on the upswing.
I once had thousands of impressions (okay, a couple of thousand) pretty regularly. Then the numbers fell. The primary reason the numbers fell is I had one week where I wasn't as active as I was in previous weeks. My numbers fell. I'm riding on a low wave right now where my activity is diminished due to other obligations, but they still fluctuate from week to week. To get my impressions back to where they were before, I need to get more engaged. That will come in time.
Meanwhile, this week, the follow metrics are on the upswing:
- Impressions by 135 percent
- Profile visits by 300 percent
- New follows by 10 percent
- Likes by 132 percent
- Reposts by 72 percent
- Video views by 300 percent
- Media views by 300 percent
What's down?
- Engagement rate by 25 percent
- Replies by 17 percent
That's the nutshell. Now, let's get granular.
Impressions and Engagements
The peak in impressions was last Tuesday, September 30, 2024 when they reached 367. Since then, it's been a downslide.
Engagements peaked on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 and dipped. It looks like they are now on the upswing.
Replies show the most interesting diagram.
Almost across the board, the peak for each metric was at the beginning of the week. I'm not the least bit concerned with these numbers. I just need to find the time to get engaged consistently throughout the week.
Another thing to note is the 28-day metrics. Impressions and engagements peaked in the last 28 days on September 24 and 25, respectively. Interestingly, their highs in the last month were the same highs as in the last week. That means I had one hell of a rally early this week.
On top of that, the impression count for the past 28 days is right around where I have normally seen them in previous months this year for a single week. That's how far down I've come.
No bitterness. Just the facts. See you next week.
