Today, I will share a food tour I had the day before yesterday with a bunch of people I had for the longest time I can remember. There were supposed to be more people but they bailed at the last possible moment.

Without further ado, let's begin!

The Initiation

It has been a while since my friends and I went to a decent restaurant for cheap with all the country-wide protests, internet shutdown, and government impeachment. So, we started to hunt for places with food, drink, and a great atmosphere, and all had to be unlimited. This time, we moved away from the local food vendors as they were done and dusted recently... so we moved toward buffet offers. We scoured the internet and found a few buffet offers until we finally hit the one that suited us. A buy 4 get one 1 free offer located at Dhanmondi. The items? 110+ including free soft drinks! Per person pay? TK 899. The only downside of this place was that it was far from our homes but that didn't matter as we decided to use local transport.

The Plan

Since it was a buy 4 get 1, we had to manage people in the multiples of 5 to pay the lowest fees. That didn't happen as 3 people backed out the night before and our overall pay was at TK 771. Our plan was simple: head out at 10:30 am and reach the place by noon. Then, we would roam the place with our big group until lunchtime. Lunch would end at 4 pm, then we stayed there for a few more hours until 7 pm when the traffic would subside, and then reach home before 9 pm.

The Journey

I woke up at 9 am and freshened up by 10 am. I called up my friends and asked them to be ready by 10:30 am. Thankfully, 3 of my friends followed through with the plan, reached the place according to the plan, and reserved the right seats for us. My friend Erfan and I were 20 minutes late from our ideal time, fashionably. There were 2 more people who showed more fashion and reached just when lunch was being served. Erfan and I made a gameplan: he would only go for the proteins and avoid the carbs like rice and noodles while I would have a teensy amount of rice and just as many proteins, however, we both agreed to have the same desserts as they were the only good ones, for us.

The Table

After the bell was rung, metaphorically, we went and grabbed our target items. The first thing my friends and I did was to hunt for desserts; our primary goal was to secure the good desserts and take the main course later on as they would be refilled and that's when it would be hot, again. There were already 10 plates of desserts and now were about to get our main dish and appetizers.

The Food

I started with a little soup that had seafood. Trust me when I say that it was super spicy, I never expected it to be as such, and instantly far exceeded my expectations. The vanilla mousse on top was taken by my friend,

As for the main dish, I got a little egg-fried rice to go with all the proteins. I got some sauteed veggies and creamy veggies, crab masala, a fish dish that absolutely sucked, butter chicken(3 pcs), and a garlic fried chicken.

Next, I went for the same stuff except I got a spicy salad. The butter chicken and hot wings were amazing, the glazed sauce was something to die for! The salad was spicy... and tasteless as usual. The creamy salad was the start of salad as it had a creamy taste... pretty obvious.

For my 3rd plate, I went and fetched some hot noodles, a few pieces of momos(delicious), beef with dal as the normal beef was out of good portions, and creamy veggies.

For the final round of the main course, I only had a few pieces of chili chicken, butter chicken, 2 momos, chili pasta(4 pcs XD), beef, and Szechuan fish with a dash of mango pickle. By this time, I had already slurped 5 cups of Pepsi, a cup of water, and a cup of mint.

Dessert Time

This was my plate of dessert. An exquisite rice pudding, strawberry pannacotta, a red velvet cake, a golap jamun, chocolate pastry, and jello. I loved it all except for the pannacotta, it just isn't for me.

My friend's palette contained similar stuff except he took 3 brownies, a mango cake, and a surprisingly good coconut chocolate. You see, I'm not a fan of bounty but this one was very good.

Lastly, I brought in another plate of sweet delicacies and this time I brought in a caramel pudding, a green forest cake, and a choco mocha cake.

All in all, we had a great time and were super thankful to be there and creating a memory that shall be etched into our hearts for the days to come. Also, our 7th member left early as he had to show up at a place early.

The End of The Line

Then, we headed toward Unimart and played Uno until we were rudely interrupted and asked to stop playing even though several people were there playing before us. We left the area at 7 pm and reached home by 9 pm, marking the end of our epic plan that was planned a month before!

Thank you, guys, for reading this far, see you legends on the next one!
