FLAWLESS VICTORY IN SILVER II FIGHT | Splinterlands x Social Media Challenge
Hello splinter-cells, I hope you are doing well in life and game.
This game features another segment of the “notes section” where I stored many of my “bombastic” gameplay for future use. This one features the use of Zyriel when it first came out. I used its ability to the max while paying attention to the mana cap.
There are four stages of content before you get to see the battle’s link:
- First: Battle Conditions.
- Second: Preview of Battle.
- Third: Major Events.
- Four: Thoughts on Battle.
So, without further ado, let’s begin!
Battle Conditions
The mana cap was 35 and only 2 summoners could be used: Death and Fire. I went with my favourite summoner Thaddius Brood as its debuts are what I seek.
There were only 2 battle rules:
- Weak Magic: Magic attacks hit armour before reducing health.
- Target Practice: All ranged and magic attack monsters have Sniping ability.
Preview of Battle
Let’s start off with my side:
Tank: Cursed Windeku(Ability: Thorns). This one was upgraded to level 4 and so it has an attack of 3 with a huge HP of 11.
Melee Attackers: Arachne Thug(Ability: Reach), Undead Badger(Ability: Sneak), Silent Sha-vi(Ability: Sneak).
Non Attackers: Riftwing(Ability: Flying, Backfire, Scavenger).
Ranged Attackers: Zyriel(Ability: Weapon training, Life Leech, Divine Shield).
My strategy was to attack from all sides while defending my Zyriel from the back. Hence, I placed my Sha-vi in the back and Riftwing in front of Zyriel. Sha-vi, with his high speed, may be able to dodge attack and the Riftwing would gain half the ranged attack from Zyriel. Moreover, should it come in the first position, would be able to dodge attack while causing a backfire damage. The tank would do a thorn damage when hit and the Arachne Thug that does a generous damage on their tank.
Overall, the damage from melee attackers are 12 and from ranged attackers are 6, a grand total of 18.
Opposition Team
Summoner: Tarsa(Ability: a buff on HP and melee damage by 1 to all melee attackers).
Tank: Living Lava*(Ability: Shield).
Melee attackers: Radiated Brute(Ability: Reach), Serpentine Spy(Ability: Opportunity), Tenyii Striker(Ability: Sneak).
Ranged Attackers: Scavo Firebolt(No Ability).
His setup was not the brightest. Firstly, he had 5 monster to in the deck which put him to a 6 v 5 disadvantage. Second, his monsters had low speed hence my monsters would get to hit first. Third, most of his monsters had medium to low HP. All this made his team weak but his summoner trait turned the tables by just a little.
His overall HP was not increased but his attacks were, from 9 melee damage to 13 melee damage with a constant 2 damage from the ranged attackers. That brought a grand total of 15 damage per round.
Major Events
The battle traits and monsters traits were introduced and the battle started off at the 8th turn by my Sha-vi to Tenyii Striker as it reduced half its HP. At the 9th turn with my Riftwing attacked the Firebolt had already been reduced Toby half its HP.
Half the round passed, most of his tank’s HP was reduced, his Tenyii Striker was almost levelled. But unfortunately, my Undead Badger was eliminated by the Serpentine Spy.
Near the end of the round, Zyriel pulls one out of the race as it gains an HP from the victim. It was Firebolt and my Riftwing got an HP from it.
His luck couldn’t have been worse as his tank and second attacker had missed my tank. But, that I turn saved him from the Thorns ability so it was all god from his side.
It had turned into a 5 v 4.
The round was started off by my Sha-vi, again, and it took out the Tenyii Striker hence, the Riftwing absorbed an HP from the fallen. A strong start.
A third of the round passed, his tank fell thanks to by tank. Making it a 5 v 2.
The Serpentine Spy had taken down the shield off of Arachne Thug. And that was the end for their temporary tank as my units had demolished it before the third round.
Round 3
My Sha-vi headed first and relieved the Spy off his duty and thus brought in a quick victory.
Honestly, the match had ended before it even started. Just like Sun Tzu had said in his time, “Victors of battle are decided before it is even fought”. Hence, the importance of the Review section is justified😁.
Thank you guys for reading this far, I hope you enjoyed the gameplay. See you legends on the next one!
