Born Again ~ Captain Katie and Franz Ruffmane Combo !! | Splinterlands x Social Media Challenge
Hello, splinter-warriors. I hope you all are doing well today.
Today, I will be sharing a battle that was truly a speck of art. A battle where the strategy was on the mark and the satisfaction was amazing. "Everything was perfect, right down to the minute detail, perfect" as Homelander puts it. I achieved the highest attainable damage, speed, and overall stats.
Without further ado, let's begin.
The mana cap was 32 and there were 3 summoners to choose from: Water, Life, and Dragon. All 3 summoners could have an amazing deck built up but I chose life since I could make a deck perfect for the occasion.
Battle Rule-
- Born Again- All monsters have the rebirth ability
Let's start from my side:
Summoner: Franz Ruffmane(Ability: Protect all ally units by providing +1 shield).
Tank: Imperial Knights(Ability: Void Armour).
Melee Attacker: Celestial Harpy(Ability: Flying, Opportunity).
Ranged Attacker: Venari Marksrat(Ability: Martyr), War Pegasus(Ability: Flying, Shatter).
Magic Attacker: Captain Katie(Ability: Bloodlust, Snipe).
My strategy was to delay Katie from coming to the tank's position. That way, the more she would eliminate enemies, the more her overall stats would grow. I kept Pegasus in the back since it had flying ability and so it could dodge potential sneak attackers. I kept Marksrat directly in front of Katie since it needed all the boost it could get. I used Harpy between the tank and Marksrat to make the opposition miss one of their attacks if that would help Katie get an elimination before she would dawn the first position.
The overall damage per round is 9. Adding in the damage after Marksrat dies is 12 per round. Considering Katie gets a kill, the overall damage and HP would continue to increase.
Now for the opposition:
Summoner: Keyla Frendrul(Ability: Increase in speed and shield by 1 for all ally monsters).
Tank: Oshanuus(Ability: Void).
Ranged Attackers: Venari Marksrat(Ability: Martyr), Swamp Spitter(Ability: Repair).
Melee Attackers: Pelacor Bandit(Ability: Sneak, Flying), Uraeus(Ability: Sneak).
Non-attackers: merdaali Guardian(Ability: Tank heal).
His strategy was to heal his tank while every other unit would launch attacks from all sides. He also kept Swamp Spitter just behind Marksrat. That way, his Oshanuus and Spitter would gain the martyr effect while constantly being healed and repaired while the sneak attackers would thin out my troops from the back of the deck.
The overall damage per round is 8. Adding in the damage after martyr is achieved by Oshanuus and Swamp Spitter, it comes to 11 damage and healing of 2 per round.
Major Events
Katie targets Marksrat first and this gives the opposition the upper hand but it also triggers her bloodlust and this increases her overall stats.
And, for the second time Katie deletes their Marksrat and also triggers bloodlust. Their overall damage has increased to 11 while mine only increased by 2 to 11.
The first monster to die was my Imperial Knight.
Next, it was my Pegasus that fell for the first time.
Katie targeted his Spitter and hence deleted him for the first, this increased my overall damage to 12.
My Knight died and his Spitter gets deleted for the second time and thus triggers another bloodlust for Katie and this is where the overall damage difference becomes real.
My Pegasus died for the second time and thus it was down to a 3 v 4 with a damage difference of 9 to 7 with a healing of 2.
My Katie targets Guardian and hence triggers her bloodlust. The damage increases by 1 while Harpy had died once.
Harpy dies and finally my Marksrat also dies after his Merdaali Guardian. That way, Katie achieves a damage of 11! and an HP of 13. This was also where Katie's speed exceeded Oshanuus's.
And finally, my Marksrat dies for the last time. My Katie's damage now increases to 11.
His Oshanuus died for the first time and thus Katie gets triggered and gets 12 damage.
This was also the time when his melee attackers were no longer hitting Katie as she was completely out of their league.
I finished the game with a damage of 17, a speed of 16, and an HP of 20. And that's how the game started and finished most perfectly.
Results
Fortunately, the game turned out exactly how I wanted and through the perfection of the strategy, my bloodthirsty monster evolved into the ultimate powerhouse of the game.
