Visit to a Harry Potter Theme Restaurant.

Quite unusual to read, right? Yes, it is, because the same feeling of getting an admission letter to Hogwarts I felt when I entered this place where a whim of Harry Potter meets the flavor of Islamabad-based restaurant, Smokey Cloudron. Welcome to heaven where every detail, from the flickering candles to the wizardly décor, is designed to transport you to the halls of Hogwarts itself.

Entrance

This is the entrance of the restaurant. The atmosphere looks hazy and full of fog. I found myself drawn closer to this ambiance. It looked like a very mysterious place with so many hidden grave secrets in it to be explored. So being a Potterhead, my friend and I decided to visit it inside.

As we stepped in, this unique piece of design attracted our attention. The ambiance resembled that of a black and red PCO center, yet it was distinctly different. The black and the red lights are usually associated with caution and danger. This was an undeniable mystery that compelled us to solve, so it excited me about what other surprises awaited us in this space.

The waiter asked us to come upstairs. My first step on the stair echoed the whole place because those stairs were crafted in such a way in the old times. Each step seemed to ring ominously, amplifying the sense of suspicion that permeated the restaurant. As we finally stepped into the restaurant, I couldn’t believe my eyes. It felt like I had stepped into a whole new world straight into the pages of the Harry Potter masterpiece. Beautifully crafted decorations, soft music, meticulous lights, every single detail seemed to whisper about the magic and wizards. Smell, oh yes, the smell, left me eager to explore every single corner of that place.

As we settled on our couch, where the waiters placed a sorting hat and 2 magic wands for us, it felt as we transported directly to the wizarding world. We ordered our food and begin to explore the place.

They have hanged the Hogwarts Uniform, Robes on the wall, and a lot of memorable objects that remind us about the Harry Potter masterpiece.

As we took in the sights and sounds of the restaurant, it was clear that every detail had been carefully chosen to immerse visitors in the magic of Harry Potter’s universe like these hanging candles 🕯️
Firstly, they placed the wrong order on our table. My friend and I were looking at each other cluelessly and asking each other in eyes, ‘When did we order this?’ After a couple of minutes, the waiter came and said sorry for the wrong order. Then after 5 minutes, our real order came. I ordered Half-blood Grilled Chicken and my friend ordered Dobby’s Delight Beef Burger. Yes, yes, yes, you read it right. Their whole menu was based on Harry Potter theme.

Review

To be very honest, the food was 10/10. It was as delicious as we expected. And the food is the reason why we are planning to visit it again.

Note Writing

After paying the bill, the waiter surprised us with a sticky note pad and asked us to leave our mark on the restaurant as a forever-lasting memory. It was a gesture that made us feel truly valued and included by the management team.

With a smile on our faces, my friend and I wrote our notes on the sticky note pad and found a place to stick it on the wall, knowing that they would forever be a part of the restaurant’s remembrance. It was a simple yet meaningful act. You can see that act in the video on top. 📷

So this was my incredible experience about the unique Harry Potter restaurant “A Smokey Cloudron” based in F6 Markaz. I would highly recommend all of you to try this restaurant whenever you visit Islamabad. I’ll catch you in my next blog.
