Creating connections and becoming friends - the power of the blockchain
Hi,
after a long holiday on the blockchain, due to personal reasons, which involve family, business, work, travel, health and some other issues, which I don't want to get into, I will be more active on the chain.
On my yesterday's post, which you can read in here, I've had a lot of replies, which means that the chain is active. It might have helped that I posted via a frontend that has a premium feature, which increases engagement.
I will reply on all of them, even on the real funny one from @trumpman, who has a special kind of seeing life.
By the way, some commenters, I've managed to meet in flesh, and they are totally different from the online experience. @uwelang lives even close by, and I think he is literary my closest blockchain neighbour, with whom I have contact. @trumpman is far away, but close in spirit, as we both have to deal with rebel savages in our homes.
They become my friends, I would say, after long interaction on the chain. After the trust was gained, we meet and had a talk or a beer. It is a total different feeling meeting people in person. Also, the bond is better.
Even if I spend 4 to 5 hours in online conferences a day, I love to meet people in person, same as in here. I like to talk to some online, but if I grab the chance to meet face to face, I will definitely do it. Before Covid, I was travelling 4 days a week. Imagine that every week, I could meet someone from the chain, which I usually did. Beside going with customers on dinners, I had a spare day to meet people. Like this, I've visited the @traveltwins for example. I'm travelling mostly in Europe, and sometimes to the Middle East and North Africa, as this covers the EMEA work region that I cover. In this tiny space, there are so many interesting people, that are worth to spend time with.
The power of the blockchain is ho high, that we meet people from all kinds of social spheres. Else, we are mostly stuck in our own social layer bubble. It is very tough, and sometimes sad, to jump into another layer, or mostly impossible to jump two layers. Here there are no boundaries, and no social borders. It opens new horizons and in the end, new opportunities.
And remember, we are only at the start of it. When more people will come, the possibilities will be endless.
How do you see it?

Nice article! I've only been here a short time but I find it like a new world and a social experiment to explore also taking into account what you indicated!
