Again a shift of strategy for Praetoria - it gets better

Hi,

the fourth part of the white-paper for land, was published last week. It adds some more information on the economy, and yes, like @aggroed always says, there will not be enough for everyone. I would add, not enough to operate it as it supposed to be. You can read the under the Splinterlands account in here.

What strikes, is the amount of taxes and fees present, collaborate with the maintenance fees, it can be a costly endeavour and some plots will be not worked due to this. This can also be a positive thing, as there will be scarcity in the making, where much needed materials, will not be available, and the ones who manage to produce them, will benefit from it. On the other hand, it slows a lot the economy down.

What strikes me, is that the salt is regional, and some players will be forced to build more even if others will not do it. Some tweaking at this point is needed, to lower the taxes or at least make it account based, not region based.

There will also be two important markets or business that will be created within Praetoria. One would be the grain industry, as grain will be scarce, and here I think the company might benefit, if it sells grain for DEC. Might be a good idea to have this as an income, close to the secondary player market.

Another one will be storage space rental. This industrial logistic component will be a very interesting one. It might be one compared to the real estate market in the real world. I might buy some more plots, in different regions, just to have a logistic hub there, so that people can use it. I hope that the rental fees can be adjusted, so that I will set mine low enough to be able to help people, but also to develop further. The sweet spot will come for sure during the game.

The whole economy has made a big turn with the last two posts from the team. Common plots will definitely play a bigger role, then ever estimated. The industrial buildings and the logistics ones will be mostly using the common ones.

Mines will slowly shift to higher tier plots, so that the entire ecosystem runs a little closer to efficiency.

What is your take on this? Do you plan your strategy accordingly?

Hey Alex. I've been getting downvoted pretty heavily by boomerang recently, and noticed you often vote the same (maybe a trail).

I'd like to better understand the reason for the downvotes, which seem to revolve around frogcake, the local, Adelaide upvote bot we set up. Do you have any insights on boomerang's rationale? I'd prefer to keep the bot operational, but if it's going to continue, I'll just pull the plug.
