Good evening friends, today I felt inspired to make a Fan art of Ocean healer, I will never get tired of drawing her in different ways since she is one of my favorites, it occurred to me to make a portrait mixed with a background full of small waves that bring movement to the image, I really liked how the water was around, at first I had doubts to do this but little by little I was building the sea and the waves and I became more and more convinced that this way was the right way to do it, I used a very blue color palette, I love to recreate this Healer with many cold tones because I feel it represents very well its essence or at least, that's how I perceive it, I always like to integrate in some way or another the Ocean Healer logo, so this time I decided to paint it in the center of the forehead with a luminous effect, I hope you like it.

Buenas noches amigos, hoy me sentía inspirada para realizar un Fan art de Ocean healer, nunca me cansare de dibujarla de diferentes formas ya que es una de mis favoritas, se me ocurrió hacer un retrato mezclado con un fondo lleno de pequeñas olas que aportan movimiento a la imagen, realmente me gustó mucho como quedo el agua alrededor, al principio tenía dudas de hacer esto pero poco a poco fui construyendo el mar y las olas y me convencí cada vez mas de que este camino era el correcto, utilice una paleta de colores bastante azul, me encanta recrear a esta Healer con muchas tonalidades frías ya que siento que representa muy bien su esencia o al menos, asi es como yo la percibo, siempre me gusta integrar de alguna u otra forma el logo de Ocean Healer, asi que esta vez se me ocurrió pintarlo en el centro de la frente con un efecto luminoso, espero que les guste.

Process/Proceso

I started my sketch where I made the portrait and for the waves I just made random lines since really the sea comes out better without sketch at least for me, in a new layer I started to add the color of the skin and the background too, where I added different shades of blues and some purples, pinks and white, in another layer with a hard brush I added more colors to completely form the whole skin, then I started to mix the colors using a diffuse brush and a medium opacity, leaving a smooth skin.

Comencé mi boceto donde hice el retrato y para las olas simplemente hice líneas random ya que realmente el mar sale mejor sin boceto al menos para mí, en una nueva capa empecé a añadir el color de la piel y del fondo tambien, donde añadí diferentes tonos de azules y algunos morados, rosas y blanco, en otra capa con un pincel duro agregue más colores para formar por completo toda la piel, luego comencé a mezclar los colores usando un pincel difuso y una opacidad media, dejando asi una piel suave.

After having all the skin ready I started to take care of giving details to the sea, for this I used a hard brush with medium opacity and I started to add and mix different shades of blue, with very dark blues I painted where I wanted more depth and with an almost white blue where I wanted more light and that effect of waves, I had a hard time making these dynamic strokes because my mind usually works very flat, in some occasions I had to modify lines that I made too straight and it didn't work as a sea texture, after finishing all the sea around I started to paint the hair, this time I wanted a dark turquoise tone, I added lights and shadows to give movement to the hair. Then I drew the Ocean Healer logo on the forehead and in a new layer I started to lighten the logo and some areas of the face that I wanted to highlight, I finished my drawing editing the image giving it more depth and contrast .

Después de tener toda la piel lista comencé a ocuparme de darle detalles al mar, para ello use un pincel duro con opacidad igualmente media y empecé a añadir y mezclar diferentes tonos de azules, con azules muy oscuros pinte donde quería más profundidad y con un azul casi blanco donde quería más luz y ese efecto de olas, me costó mucho hacer estos trazos tan dinámicos ya que mi mente funciona normalmente muy plana, en algunas ocasiones tuve que modificar líneas que las hice demasiado rectas y no funcionaba como textura de mar, después de terminar todo el mar alrededor empecé a pintar el cabello, esta vez quise un tono turquesa oscuro, añadí luces y sombras para darle movimiento al cabello.
Después dibuje el logo de Ocean Healer en la frente y en una nueva capa empecé a iluminar el logo y algunas zonas del rostro que quería resaltar, finalice mi dibujo editando la imagen dándole más profundidad y contraste.
