¡Hola chicos! Espero que se encuentren muy bien, por mi parte he tenido unos días muy complicados, pero continúo haciendo lo que más me gusta y que me ayuda a drenar un poco el estrés del día a día, hoy mi humor era blanco y negro asi que decidí hacer un retrato con este estilo rustico y en blanco y negro para que fuese un poco mas dramático, algo que estuvo fuera del boceto y que se me ocurrió en el momento para este dibujo fue realizar esta especie de efecto de piel quebrada, todo surgió por accidente, por hacer una línea oscura mal dándole sombra al ala, se me ocurrió agregar ese pequeño pero significativo detalle que me hace pensar que esta ala es apenas parte del cuervo que esta saliendo dentro de ella, la verdad es que estos dibujos en blanco y negro me encantan porque puedo manejar un poco mas fácil las luces y sombras, espero que les guste!

Hi guys! I hope you are doing well, for my part I have had some very complicated days, but I continue doing what I like the most and that helps me to drain a little bit the stress of the day to day, today my mood was black and white so I decided to make a portrait with this rustic style and in black and white to make it a little more dramatic, something that was out of the sketch and that occurred to me at the time for this drawing was to make this kind of broken skin effect, it all came by accident, by making a dark line badly giving shadow to the wing, it occurred to me to add this small but significant detail that makes me think that this wing is just part of the raven that is coming out inside her, the truth is that I love these drawings in black and white because I can handle a little easier the lights and shadows, I hope you like it!

Proceso/Process

Al principio esta idea no me gustó pues sentía que se veía bastante extraña el ala saliendo del ojo, pero decidí confiar en el proceso y pensar que después de agregar los colores se vería mucho mejor, entonces comencé a pintar, colocando primero un fondo menos llamativo que el blanco para poder ver mejor lo que hacía, luego aplique esta escala de grises en el rostro creando a penas la forma del rostro, en una nueva capa agregue muchísimos tonos mas de esta gama de grises para darle mejor forma, continue en otra capa mezclando los colores para darle esa suavidad a la piel, para el ala use un gris bastante oscuro casi llegando al tono negro y agregue iluminaciones con gris claro y una opacidad baja.

At first I didn't like this idea because I felt that the wing coming out of the eye looked quite weird, but I decided to trust the process and thought that after adding the colors it would look much better, so I started to paint, placing first a background less flashy than white to be able to see better what I was doing, then I applied this grayscale on the face creating just the shape of the face, in a new layer I added many more shades of this range of grays to give it a better shape, I continued in another layer mixing the colors to give that softness to the skin, for the wing I used a quite dark gray almost reaching the black tone and I added highlights with light gray and a low opacity.

Termine de definir el rostro y torso, para luego comenzar a pintar el cabello, para el cabello use un gris oscuro pero sin ser tan oscuro, luego pinte algunos reflejos que le darían ese movimiento al cabello, agregue sombra en el borde que une el ala con el rostro y en este punto fue donde realice un trazado algo descuidado y por accidente salió un círculo algo extraño alrededor del ala, iba a borrarlo hasta que me di cuenta que parecía un efecto de piel quebrada y decidí agregar una nueva capa donde pintaría mas grietas dando esta ilusión, como quería que tuviese este efecto de oleo en algunas partes, comencé a pintar los bordes del dibujo y el fondo con un pincel de esta textura, mezclando el fondo con la piel y en una baja opacidad de pincel para que luciese bastante rustico y con la textura que deseaba, finalmente aplique algunos detalles de luz en el rostro.

I finished defining the face and torso, then I started to paint the hair, for the hair I used a dark gray but without being so dark, then I painted some reflections that would give that movement to the hair, I added shadow on the edge that joins the wing with the face and at this point was where I made a somewhat careless stroke and by accident came out a somewhat strange circle around the wing, I was going to erase it until I realized that it looked like a broken skin effect and decided to add a new layer where I would paint more cracks giving this illusion, as I wanted to have this oil effect in some parts, I began to paint the edges of the drawing and the background with a brush of this texture, mixing the background with the skin and in a low opacity brush to look quite rustic and with the texture I wanted, finally I applied some details of light on the face.
