Feliz casi inicio de semana amigos, esta semana para el concurso de @Splinterlands quise participar con una carta a la que le tenía muchísimo MIEDO esta carta de Spirit of the Forest considero que es una de las más difíciles de trabajar por los tonos que se pueden apreciar en la piel, y que si pintas mal se puede ver bastante feo, por eso me he animado hoy a este reto donde quise representar a Spirit of the Forest con un escenario bastante mágico, lleno de fantasía y tonalidades verdes, creí que seria algo simple cuando tuve la idea, pero realmente fue un trabajo muy duro, sobre todo en lograr este tono de piel en el que parezca real pero de un matiz verde, me siento muy feliz con el resultado después de tantas horas luchando con este dibujo siento que valió la pena, espero que les guste mi entrada de esta semana.

Happy almost start of the week friends, this week for the @Splinterlands art contest I wanted to participate with a card that I was really FEARED this card of Spirit of the Forest I consider it one of the most difficult to work with because of the tones that can be seen in the skin, and if you paint it wrong it can look pretty ugly, so I have encouraged myself today to this challenge where I wanted to represent Spirit of the Forest with a very magical scenario, full of fantasy and green tones, I thought it would be something simple when I had the idea, but it really was a very hard work, especially in achieving this skin tone that looks real but with a green hue, I am very happy with the result after so many hours struggling with this drawing I feel it was worth it, I hope you like my entry this week.

Proceso/Process

Como les comente quería un resultado de fantasía, este estilo no lo practico muy seguido, pero ya que esta carta tiene un aspecto de naturaleza quería usarlo esta vez, entonces pensé en un bosque, muchas plantas y una rosa que brillara muchísimo, quise cambiar la ropa y hacer algo mas sencillo y descotado, elegí los tonos a utilizar, donde use colores diferentes colores verdes que funcionaran para hacer una piel colorida pero a la vez realista, comencé a colocar todos los tonos aplicando mas claros del lado derecho y oscuros del lado izquierdo, en una nueva capa comencé a detallar mas la piel agregando más tonos y mezclándolos, para el cabello use un verde oscuro y para la ropa sustraje el color del traje original de spirit of the forest, pero cambiando un poco la saturación buscando un color un poco menos saturado.

As I told you I wanted a fantasy result, I don't practice this style very often, but since this card has a nature look I wanted to use it this time, so I thought of a forest, many plants and a rose that shines a lot, I wanted to change the clothes and make something more simple and low-cut, I chose the tones to use, where I used different green colors that would work to make a colorful skin but at the same time realistic, I began to place all the tones applying lighter on the right side and darker on the left side, in a new layer I began to detail more the skin adding more tones and mixing them, for the hair I used a dark green and for the clothes I subtracted the color of the original costume of spirit of the forest, but changing a little the saturation looking for a color a little less saturated.

Puse algunos reflejos de luces y sombras en el cabello para que luciese mas real, pinte la diadema en su cabeza y ya me estaba preocupando un poco por el fondo asi que no pude esperar y comencé a pintar esta especie de tronco de árbol detrás, para ello utilice un marrón de base y luego comencé a agregar otros tonos creando curvas que dieran la apariencia de árbol, pinte algo de césped variando con diferentes tonos de verde, un cielo oscuro y la silueta de árbol detrás, me pareció buena ide añadir algunas hojas cayendo. Después de todos estos detalles pinté la gema que tiene la diadema y por supuesto, las ramas que salen desde la cabeza, quise hacer estas ramas sin hojas y simplemente hacerlas de una manera que se mezclaran con el árbol de fondo, como si fuesen unas raíces.

I put some highlights and shadows on the hair to make it look more real, I painted the tiara on her head and I was already worrying a little bit about the background so I couldn't wait and started painting this kind of tree trunk behind, for this I used a brown base and then I started adding other tones creating curves that gave the appearance of a tree, I painted some grass varying with different shades of green, a dark sky and the tree silhouette behind, I thought it was a good idea to add some falling leaves. After all these details I painted the gem that has the tiara and of course, the branches that come out from the head, I wanted to make these branches without leaves and just make them in a way that they blend with the tree in the background, as if they were roots.

Agregue diferentes plantas encima donde pintaría muchas hojas y la rosa, no hice tantos detalles a la rosa porque iba a ser tapada un poco con esta luz que salía dentro de ella, para que ese efecto de luz quedase un poco mejor decidí agregar una capa de multiplicar y pintar el lado izquierdo haciéndolo ver mas oscuro, agregue una capa de screen con un juste de pincel en “overlay” y comencé a añadir detalles de luz en todas las partes del dibujo que consideraba que necesitaban luz, finalmente aplique un ajuste a la imagen donde le di más claridad y profundidad y ya estaba listo!

I added different plants on top where I would paint many leaves and the rose, I didn't make so many details to the rose because it was going to be covered a little bit with this light coming out inside it, to make that light effect look a little better I decided to add a multiply layer and paint the left side making it look darker, I added a screen layer with a brush adjustment in "overlay" and started to add light details in all the parts of the drawing that I considered needed light, finally I applied an adjustment to the image where I gave it more clarity and depth and it was ready!

I love this! Spirit of the Forest was one of my favourite cards in the Alpha days, and her artwork was always suggestive of a much deeper narrative full of mystery and sadness. You've captured it all so well here!

Mis fan arts favoritos de Splinterlands son los que están inspirados en este personaje, hay mucha gente creativa que la toma y recrea escenas preciosísima, por supuesto este dibujo no se queda atrás, creo que diste en el clavo con todos los detalles y efectos que querías hacer. El concepto es maravilloso, que de su mano saliera una especie de magia y brillo que envuelve la flor es un claro mensaje que este personaje tiene poder y conexión con la naturaleza. Lo amo.
