Splinterlands art contest | Lunakari Mistress
Good evening.
I arrived a little late this week for the @Splinterlands art contest however, I was able to finish on time this Lunakari Mistress fan art, this is the second time I draw this card and this time I wanted to represent her in a more simple and natural way, I wanted something quite nice and bright, where I could simulate that her power surrounds her and covers all her back until it reaches the front, as well as the movement of the hair to simulate floating in the air along with her power, I decided to eliminate most of the accessories and just keep a choker but a little simpler, just drawing a ring, the reason for this is that I tried to make the jewelry similar to the original but just felt that it did not go well with my drawing, I liked more how she looked like this, simple and beautiful, I hope you like it.
I made the sketch last night to start painting today, as I said I wanted a lighter and more natural version of Lunakari, today I chose the color palette to work with, this time using a rather strange palette where I mixed different colors, this was more like a test and in the end I liked it, I placed greens, oranges, light blue, pink, beige, brown and a bit of desaturated yellow, I placed the colors as I wanted to have light and shadow, then I added a new layer where I put more tones with a harder brush to give a better shape to the whole body and face, I started to mix these colors to leave a soft skin and after the skin was ready I started to paint the hair, to paint hair I usually like to use the darkest tone first and then add the lights little by little, I feel it works better this way, at least for me.
Then I put color on the clothes, I used a pastel green tone, I painted the eyebrows and eyelashes to finish giving details to the face, then I started to add lights to the hair using lighter blues and some greens, I continued detailing the clothes where I used shadows and lights to give a more realistic finish making the folds of the fabric, I painted the golden choker and then I started to give light to the background with a light green, this green simulates the power that Lunakari has that we can see in the original card, to give it more realism I applied a layer of lights where I started to highlight some points of light on the face and hair, then I applied a little more green in front to look as if the power goes forward, I finished the drawing editing the photo a little making it a little clearer and increasing the saturation a little more.

I'm glad to know that it conveys just what I was looking for, thank you very much my dear 💙
Very impressive work, I like the way you portray the beautiful calmness on her face. This looks really good, the glow from the back really gave it a lot of expression.
Well done.
