Hola nuevamente comunidad, hoy quiero compartir uno de mis últimos trabajos, como saben me gusta la temática surrealista en retratos, algo que no aplico tan seguido ya que es muy complejo, esta vez quise aplicarlo de una manera que es bastante común, realice primero un retrato normal al cual luego le dividí el rostro creando esta especie de “hueco” que quise rellenar con rosas saliendo dentro, espero que les guste.

Hello again community, today I want to share one of my last works, as you know I like the surrealist theme in portraits, something that I don't apply so often because it is very complex, this time I wanted to apply it in a way that is quite common, first I made a normal portrait to which then I divided the face creating this kind of "hole" that I wanted to fill with roses coming out inside, I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Para este dibujo elegí una paleta con tonalidades bastante rosa, realice mi boceto sin hacer el espacio del rostro ya que así me confundiría menos al pintar, entonces comencé a rellenar el rostro con un rosa pastel, agregue una nueva capa donde agregue otras tonalidades que le daría luz y sombras al dibujo, en otra capa continue rellenando con mas tonalidades para definir por completo el rostro.

For this drawing I chose a palette with quite pink tones, I made my sketch without making the space of the face because it would confuse me less when painting, then I began to fill the face with a pastel pink, I added a new layer where I added other shades that would give light and shadows to the drawing, in another layer I continue filling with more shades to completely define the face.

Comencé a mezclar los tonos del rostro para darle más suavidad, hice este proceso hasta tener una piel lisa, para el cabello elegí un color morado casi azul oscuro y un tono de esta misma gama, pero mas claro para hacer los mechones de cabello, definí mejor la forma de los ojos, pinté las cejas y pestañas. Una vez que estaba todo completamente pintado, uní las capas del dibujo para comenzar a recortar la parte del rostro que quería que sobresaliese, en las esquinas agregue un poco de luz para dar ese efecto de hueco.

I began to mix the tones of the face to give it more softness, I did this process until I had a smooth skin, for the hair I chose a purple color almost dark blue and with a tone of this same range but lighter i made the locks of hair, I defined better the shape of the eyes, I painted the eyebrows and eyelashes.
Once everything was completely painted, I joined the layers of the drawing to begin to cut out the part of the face that I wanted to stand out, in the corners I added a little light to give that hole effect.

Ahora elegí un rojo desaturado para comenzar a pintar las rosas, creando pétalos con sombras y luces, para darle mas profundidad entre el rostro y las rosas agregue una sombra, luego decidí pintar sus ojos con negro y dibujar algunos pétalos alrededor, finalmente realice un ajuste de color sin ser tan exagerada pues ya me gustaba mucho como se veía.

Now I chose a desaturated red to start painting the roses, creating petals with shadows and lights, to give more depth between the face and the roses I added a shadow, then I decided to paint her eyes with black and draw some petals around, finally I made a color adjustment without being so exaggerated because I already liked the way she looked.
