Doll face
This week I had a hard time drawing, sometimes I feel like I don't enjoy it anymore, however, today I tried to do something simple that I liked, it helped me to distract myself a little bit but I still feel strange, I guess everything that is happening right now affected me a lot, it scares me to think that I can never feel good drawing again because it is one of the things I love to do since I was a little girl, today I did a simple portrait with mostly green tones, I wanted a semi realistic portrait, with a quite soft and pretty skin but at the same time look like a doll, so this time I exaggerated a little more the features of the face, normally I like to work with big eyes, this time I added big eyes but also a very thin face frame, very thick lips and small nose, simulating those features that we can find for example in a porcelain doll, I really like the result, I hope you like it too.
I made the sketch and chose the colors to work with, this time I wanted something green, I almost never use this color as a protagonist and I thought it was a good idea to vary for today, I started to add the colors leaving the lights and shadows already defined, then I added another layer where I started to add more colors so that the face had the volume and shape I was looking for, here I added other shades like yellows, pinks and reds, I started to mix the colors leaving a soft skin and I wanted to darken the eyes so I painted as if it was a kind of smoky eye makeup.
I started to detail the clothes creating folds in the fabric with lights and shadows.
For the hair I used similar colors to the clothes, I really wanted to follow a specific color range for this drawing. I added highlights to the hair to give it more realism, then I started to paint the choker on the neck and then I added highlights on the nose, lips and eyes, I finished editing the image giving it a little cooler tone but very light without exaggerating so much.

Thats the worst feeling an artist would ever feel. Maybe a little rest and little experimenting is what you need. Though i'm not an expert, a little cheer is what we can do.
Anyways, you still did great with your art. It looks like a doll but so realistic. It looks like a human that use make up to make it look like this. So pretty, the eyes and hair is so perfect.
Yes! resting will probably help me a lot, although I feel guilty when I don't draw lol
Thank you very much for your comment, I'm glad to know that she do look like a doll 🥰
