Despair

Hola comunidad, estos últimos días han sido realmente agobiantes, aburridos y estresantes para mi, he intentado hacer las cosas que me gustan pero solo me animo a dibujar, creo que es lo único que si puedo hacer sin estresarme y desahogarme un poco, siempre me ha gustado dibujar retratos melancólicos y ahora que estoy intentando hacer dibujos un poco mas simples sin trazos tan elaborados siento que ese estilo queda muchísimo mas intenso, quise hacer esta vez mi retrato con una paleta de tonos cálidos y tonalidades verdes desaturadas para cambiar un poquito la paleta que venia trabajando donde casi siempre usaba colores fríos y una ambientación azul.

Hello community, these last days have been really overwhelming, boring and stressful for me, I have tried to do the things that I like but I only dare to draw, I think it is the only thing that I can do without stressing and letting off steam a little, I always I have liked drawing melancholy portraits and now that I am trying to make a little simpler drawings without such elaborate strokes I feel that this style is much more intense, this time I wanted to make my portrait with a palette of warm tones and desaturated green tones to change a little the palette that had been working where he almost always used cold colors and a blue setting.

Proceso/Process

Sentia que el boceto había quedado extraño, pero no sabia que era, así que solo decidí seguir adelante y pintar, empezamos rellenando todo el rostro y las manos con los colores que elegí, suavizando algunos trazos y dando forma a todo su rostro, las manos fue la parte mas difícil, pero creo que lograron tener un poco de forma, en esta parte los trazos eran mas rústicos que en la cara.

I felt that the sketch had been strange, but I didn't know what it was, so I just decided to go ahead and paint, we started by filling in the entire face and hands with the colors I chose, softening some strokes and shaping the entire face, the hands It was the most difficult part, but I think they managed to have a bit of shape, in this part the lines were more rustic than on the face.

Pinte su cabello sin mucho cuidado, ya que realmente su cabello se mezclaría con el fondo, dando algunos trazos al azar, dando un aspecto algo sucio al dibujo pero que queda muy bien para la desesperación que buscaba transmitir, trabaje en las luces y sombras usando capas con efectos de “Screen” y mutiplicar, quería dibujar sangre por todo su cachete pero quedaba un poco feo, así que solamente lo deje en la nariz y boca.

Paint her hair without much care, since her hair would really blend with the background, giving some random strokes, giving the drawing a somewhat dirty look but it looks very good for the desperation that I wanted to convey, work on the lights and shadows using layers with “Screen” and multiply effects, I wanted to draw blood all over her cheek but it was a bit ugly, so I just left it on her nose and mouth.

Trabaje en este retrato dos días, me distrajo muchísimo, dibujar es algo que nunca me va a aburrir y que me ayuda a sobrellevar algunas emociones, espero que les guste.

I worked on this portrait for two days, it distracted me a lot, drawing is something that will never bore me and that helps me cope with some emotions, I hope you like it.
