Darkness and resilience

Feliz sábado para todos, hoy quiero compartir un nuevo retrato, esta vez quise representar un poco de como me he sentido estos dias, aunque no tenia el titulo para esta obra, a veces sabemos que solo queremos pintar pero no sabemos expresarlo con palabras o títulos, o al menos eso me pasa a mí, mi amix @chopiliart fue quien me ayudo con el titulo lo ha hecho varias veces jajajaja, a pesar de que hice este dibujo en la madrugada y muerta de sueño quería terminarlo porque me gusto mucho desde el principio, la expresión y la paleta de colores son cosas que definitivamente me representan muchísimo y estos son los dibujos que mas disfruto hacer, espero que les guste a ustedes tambien.

Happy Saturday to everyone, today I want to share a new portrait, this time I wanted to represent a little of how I felt these days, although I didn't have the title for this work, sometimes we know that we just want to paint but we don't know how to express it with words or titles, or at least that happens to me, my friend @chopiliart was the one who helped me with the title he has done it several times hahahaha, even though I did this drawing at dawn and dead asleep I wanted to finish it because I liked it a lot from the beginning, the expression and the color palette are things that definitely represent me a lot and these are the drawings I enjoy the most, I hope you like it too.

Proceso/Process

Comencé el boceto y elegí los colores que serian tonos bastante oscuros, me costo mucho trabajar con estos tonos por ser tan desaturados y opacos, pero hice lo mejor posible, quería de verdad esa atmosfera de oscuridad para esta ocasión, coloque los colores con el pincel difuso para guiarme donde irían tonos igual o similares, en una nueva capa añadí más colores que ayudarían a formar completamente el rostro, agregue tonos mas claros en el centro del rostro dando la sensación de luz en esa parte de la cara, con un pincel de textura y variando entre tamaño y opacidad comencé a mezclar los tonos de la piel hasta fusionarlos por completo.

I started the sketch and chose the colors that would be quite dark tones, it cost me a lot to work with these tones because they are so desaturated and opaque, but I did my best, I really wanted that atmosphere of darkness for this occasion, I placed the colors with the diffuse brush to guide me where the same or similar tones would go, in a new layer I added more colors that would help to completely form the face, I added lighter tones in the center of the face giving the sensation of light in that part of the face, with a texture brush and varying between size and opacity I started to mix the tones of the skin until I blended them completely.

La parte mas difícil fue la mano, ya que estuve trabajando con estos colores oscuros y normalmente las manos son muy difíciles ahora si agregamos el factor oscuridad se vuelve todo un reto, me llene de paciencia y comencé a rellenar con sombras y tonos mas claros creando la forma, igualmente mezcle los colores hasta difuminarlos y dar la forma, pinte las cejas y pestañas, para luego proceder con el cabello para el cual no hizo falta agregar tantos detalles de luz pues esta parte estaba mas oscura que el resto del dibujo, asi que solo pinte algunos mechones oscuros y finos asomados por la frente y rostro, le di mas vida al ojo creando algo de luz y luego llego la parte donde quería dibujar lágrimas, también añadí rojo en algunas zonas del rostro para dar mas realismo a este “llanto” finalmente coloque un fondo oscuro y agregue algunos detalles de luz en todo el rostro.

The most difficult part was the hand, since I was working with these dark colors and normally the hands are very difficult now if we add the dark factor it becomes a challenge, I filled myself with patience and began to fill with shadows and lighter tones creating the shape, also mix the colors until blurred and give the shape, paint the eyebrows and eyelashes, then I proceeded with the hair for which I didn't need to add so many light details because this part was darker than the rest of the drawing, so I only painted some dark and thin strands peeking through the forehead and face, I gave more life to the eye creating some light and then came the part where I wanted to draw tears, I also added red in some areas of the face to give more realism to this "crying" finally I placed a dark background and added some details of light throughout the face.
