Cute chibi healer of light

Good evening guys. A long time ago I made a “chibi” version of forest healer and since then I wanted to make this same version for healer of light and also for ocean healer, today I decided to continue with healer of light since it's one of the hardest to draw because of the light color palette I have to handle and despite all that I really enjoyed painting it and I feel it's very cute, I don't have much experience drawing such “young” features but I did my best, I wanted big eyes and a round face to give her that tender and more youthful look, for the clothes I wanted to make a change, because I didn't want everything to be so gray or white, so I painted the jacket in brown, I hope you like this version.

Hace mucho tiempo hice una versión “chibi” de forest healer y desde ese momento quería hacer esta misma versión para healer of light y tambien para ocean healer, hoy decidí continuar con healer of light ya que es una de las que más me cuesta dibujar por la paleta de colores tan clara que debo manejar y a pesar de todo eso disfrute mucho pintándola y siento que quedo muy cute, no tengo mucha experiencia dibujando facciones tan “jóvenes” pero hice mi mejor esfuerzo, quería unos grandes ojos y cara bastante redonda para darle ese aspecto tierno y más juvenil, para la ropa quise hacer un cambio, ya que no quería que todo fuese tan gris o blanco, asi que pinte la chaqueta en color marrón, espero que les guste esta versión.

Process/Proceso

I made my sketch guided a little by the original image to try to capture the essence of healer of light, I chose the colors to paint the skin which would be pink tones and some browns for the shadows, in a new layer I added more colors to fully shape the face and then I started to blur them with a diffuse brush to leave a soft texture, I started to put base tones on the clothes, starting with the jacket and then the shirt, as I mentioned, I thought it was interesting to make a different contrast on the clothes, so I decided to paint the jacket with a brown base color. I also painted the hair with a dark gray tone.

Realice mi boceto guiándome un poco por la imagen original para intentar captar la esencia de healer of light, escogí los colores para pintar la piel los cuales serían tonalidades rosas y algunos marrones para las sombras, en una nueva capa añadí más colores para darle completamente forma al rostro y luego empecé a difuminarlos con un pincel difuso para dejar una textura suave, empecé a colocar tonos base en la ropa, empezando por la chaqueta y luego la camisa, como mencione, me pareció interesante hacer un contraste diferente en la ropa, asi que decidí pintar la chaqueta con un color marrón de base.
Tambien pinte el cabello con un tono gris oscuro.

I started to paint shadows and lights on the clothes to give it more realism and volume, I did the same with the hair, little by little in other layers I started to give detail to each part of the clothes and hair, the hair was the most difficult, really painting in this color is not easy at all, I used a lot of light grays and whites. I painted the eyebrows and eyelashes, as well as I wanted to add more color to the face applying reddish tones on the cheeks and nose, I painted the headband trying to make it very similar to the original as I really like the design.

Empecé a pintar sombras y luces en la ropa para darle más realismo y volumen, igualmente hice con el cabello, poco a poco en otras capas empecé a darle detalle a cada parte de la ropa y cabello, el cabello fue lo más difícil, real mente pintar de este color no es nada facil, manejé muchos grises claros y blancos.
Pinte las cejas y las pestañas, asi como tambien quise agregarle más color al rostro aplicando tonos rojizos en las mejillas y nariz, pinte la diadema intentando hacerla muy parecida a la original ya que me gusta mucho el diseño.

I could not miss to give life to this drawing with many points of light that would bring more brightness in some areas such as the eyes, mouth, nose and accessories, for the background I wanted something very neutral but at the same time bright, because every time I see this healer I imagine a lot of light and magic, so I placed a gray background with some points of light floating plus a subtle aura in warm tones surrounding her silhouette, finish as always, making an edition of the image by adjusting the colors a little to my liking.

No podía faltar darle vida a este dibujo con muchos puntos de luz que aportarían más brillo en algunas zonas como los ojos, boca, nariz y los accesorios, para el fondo quise algo muy neutro pero que fuese a la vez brillante, ya que cada vez que veo a esta healer imagino mucha luz y magia, asi que coloque un fondo gris con algunos puntos de luz flotando además de un aura sutil en tonos cálidos que rodea su silueta, finalice como siempre, realizando una edición de la imagen ajustando un poco los colores a mi gusto.

So pretty! The face structure is just perfect, it's hard to draw a human figure in a side view but why you make it look like so easy, cool and lovely! The lips and the eyes is my favorite part on this one.
