Chibi Forest healer & Grass racoon

GN Holozing! During these last weeks I have dedicated myself to make fan art where I change many of the elements of the clothes or accessories, but this time I had a different idea, I imagined a small version of Forest Healer, but I wanted to make the whole composition very tender and to give even more that touch of cuteness to this drawing I decided to accompany it with Grass Racoon, and this time I wanted to stick very much to the original image, making everything as similar as possible both in clothes and accessories, I'm not even sure if I got the result I wanted, I mean, I like it in fact I like it a lot but I'm not very familiar with drawing children's features, it was a little complicated to give that look to Forest Healer, of course since I chose two characters that are closely related to nature I decided that the whole background would be this kind of field full of long grass and a nice sky with different clouds in a perspective also different from what I usually do, I'm very happy with the result I think it looks very nice and it was almost exactly what I had in mind. Durante estas últimas semanas me he dedicado a realizar fan art donde cambio muchos de los elementos de la ropa o accesorios, pero en esta oportunidad tuve una idea diferente, imaginé una versión pequeña de Forest Healer, pero quería hacer toda la composición muy tierna y para darle aún más ese toque de lindura a este dibujo decidí acompañarla de Grass Racoon, y esta vez quise apegarme mucho a la imagen original, haciendo todo lo más similar posible tanto en ropa como en accesorios, no estoy aun segura si logre el resultado que quería, es decir, me gusta de hecho me gusta mucho pero no estoy muy familiarizada con dibujar rasgos de niños, fue algo complicado darle ese aspecto a Forest Healer, por supuesto ya que elegí dos personajes que se relacionan mucho con la naturaleza decidí que todo el fondo seria esta especie de campo lleno de césped largo y un lindo cielo con diferentes nubes en una perspectiva también distinta a la que suelo realizar, estoy muy feliz con el resultado creo que se ve muy lindo y era casi exacto a lo que tenía en mente.

Process/Proceso

At first I was going to draw Ocean Healer together with water whale, but honestly I didn't like it the sketch, I feel that Grass racoon would be easier for me now because I have already practiced drawing furry animals, but the whale would probably cost me a lot to do, so I thought and chose this combination between Forest Healer and Grass racoon. I started painting the skin and this time I chose skin colors with green hues, also a little bit of pink for the lips and cheeks, in a new layer I added more colors to finish the face and start blending very well leaving a soft texture, I painted the hair with dark green and then I started to add the highlights and some shadows with an even darker green, I put the base color on the clothes, I didn't want to apply a white directly because I felt it would look too fake for my style of drawing, so I opted for a light color but following the range of tones with which I was already painting, that's how I applied this pastel green.

Al principio iba a dibujar a Ocean Healer junto con water whale, pero sinceramente no me salió bien el boceto, siento que Grass racoon sería más sencillo para mi ahora porque ya he practicado dibujando animales peludos, pero la ballena probablemente me costaría muchísimo hacerla, entonces pensé y elegí esta combinación entre Forest Healer y Grass racoon.
Fui armando en boceto y en unas horas por fin estaba satisfecha con el resultado, empecé a pintar la piel y en esta oportunidad elegí colores piel con tonalidades verdes, también un poco de rosa para los labios y las mejillas, en una nueva capa añadí más colores para terminar de formar el rostro y empezar a difuminar muy bien dejando una textura suave, pinte el cabello con verde oscuro y luego empecé a añadirle las iluminaciones y algunas sombras con un verde aún más oscuro, coloque el color base en la ropa, no quise aplicar un blanco directamente porque sentía que se vería muy falso para mi estilo de dibujo, entonces opté por un color claro pero siguiendo la gama de tonos con los que ya estaba pintando, asi fue como aplique este verde pastel.

I started to shape the jacket adding lights and shadows to create the folds and give a little more realism to the fabric, I painted the silhouette of Grass racoon with dark green and then I started to fill in, Grass racoon became quite complicated to paint, but after a while looking to perfect a little bit all the details it was better than at the beginning, all Grass racoon is painted with a watercolor texture brush for some reason, I feel that this brush helps me to make better the fur of the animals.

Empecé a darle forma a la chaqueta agregando luces y sombras para crear los pliegues y darle un poco más de realismo a la tela, pinte la silueta de Grass racoon con verde oscuro y luego empecé a rellenar, Grass racoon se me hizo bastante complicado de pintar, pero después de un rato buscando perfeccionar un poco todos los detalles quedo mejor que al principio, todo Grass racoon está pintado con un pincel de textura de acuarela por alguna razón, siento que este pincel me ayuda a hacer mejor el pelaje de los animales.

I added Forest Healer's crown and also a clover shaped accessory on her ear, this last one was because it disturbed me a lot to see her ear so empty, I don't know haha, I started to take care of the background for which I tried different ideas but after a while I started to paint a blue sky and a green base in the middle of the image, then I painted the grass both in the background and in the foreground, then I decided to paint with some yellow just behind Forest Healer's head and here was where I thought about adding some clouds.

Añadí la corona de Forest Healer y también un accesorio en forma de trébol en su oreja, esto último fue porque me perturbaba mucho verle la oreja tan vacía, no sé jaja, empecé a encargarme del fondo para el cual probe diferentes ideas pero después de un rato empecé a pintar un cielo azul y una base verde en la mitad de la imagen, luego pinte el césped tanto en el fondo como en el primer plano, después decidí pintar con un poco de amarillo justo detrás de la cabeza de Forest Healer y aquí fue donde pensé en agregar algunas nubes.

And I painted the clouds which at first were completely orange but I didn't like it, I changed the color of the clouds in the color settings of this layer, it looked much better with this lighter tone, finally I edited the image without modifying so much the settings since I liked how it looked, I just increased a little bit the saturation and some other adjustments that being honest I don't remember them right now lol, but it was very subtle.

Y pinte las nubes las cuales al principio eran completamente naranjas pero no me gusto, cambie el color de las nubes en los ajustes de color de esta capa, se veía mucho mejor con este tono más claro, finalmente edite la imagen sin modificar tanto los ajustes ya que me gustaba como se veía, solo aumente un poquito la saturación y algunos otros ajustes que siéndoles sincera ya no los recuerdo ahora mismo lol, pero fue muy sutil.
