Blue feeling

Feliz fin de semana para todos, espero que hayan tenido un buen día. Hoy quiero compartir un nuevo dibujo, no he tenido mucho tiempo de dibujar últimamente, ha sido difícil, pero de vez en cuando logro conseguir un tiempo para plasmar las ideas que se me ocurren, esta vez estuve trabajando entre ayer y hoy en un retrato donde quería resaltar los ojos usando un azul claro bastante llamativo, me encanta como se ve la mirada, quise utilizar elementos que me gustan mucho, el cielo es algo que me gusta mucho colocar en mis dibujos, además de ojos grandes y cabello corto, pienso que estas características son las que mas me representan a la hora de pintar algo que me guste, intente darle muchos detalles realistas al rostro, estoy feliz con el resultado, espero que les guste.

Today I want to share a new drawing, I haven't had much time to draw lately, it's been difficult, but from time to time I manage to get some time to capture the ideas that come to my mind, this time I was working between yesterday and today on a portrait where I wanted to highlight the eyes using a quite striking light blue, I love how the eyes looks, I wanted to use elements that I like a lot, the sky is something that I like to put in my drawings, plus big eyes and short hair, I think that these characteristics are the ones that represent me the most when painting something that I like, I tried to give many realistic details to the face, I'm happy with the result, I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Realice el boceto, esta vez tenia en mente un dibujo con detalles realistas, sin embargo, me gusto la idea de no hacer “realista” los hombros, por lo cual los hice pequeños, haciendo que la cabeza se vea un poco mas grande que el torso, elegí los colores para trabajar, esta vez elegí tonos de piel cálidos y los coloque en el rostro, aplicando luces y sombras, luego añadí una nueva capa donde coloque más colores dándole forma al rostro por completo, también comencé a pintar el cabello, para esto usé un marrón claro, después tome un pincel con textura y comencé a mezclar los colores de la cara, después tome un pincel difuso y termine de mezclar mejor los colores para dejar una piel suave.

I made the sketch, this time I had in mind a drawing with realistic details, however, I liked the idea of not making the shoulders "realistic", so I made them small, making the head look a little bit bigger than the torso, I chose the colors to work with, this time I chose warm skin tones and placed them on the face, applying lights and shadows, then I added a new layer where I placed more colors giving shape to the face completely, I also started to paint the hair, for this I used a light brown, then I took a textured brush and started to blend the colors of the face, then I took a diffuse brush and finished blending the colors better to leave a soft skin.

Después de terminar el rostro, aplique color a la ropa, pintando primero con azul claro y luego un azul oscuro, después aplique luces y sombras para crear pliegues en la tela de la ropa, también añadí luces y sombras marrones en el cabello para darle movimiento y forma, sentía que el rostro necesitaba mas profundidad, asi que pinte un poco alrededor de los ojos con negro, luego aplique una tonalidad roja en las mejillas y en la parte de las ojeras, pinté la corona con blanco, pero después pensé que no iba a resaltar con el fondo de cielo que quería, asi que al final la pinte de negro.

After finishing the face, I applied color to the clothes, painting first with light blue and then a dark blue, then I applied lights and shadows to create creases in the fabric of the clothes, I also added brown lights and shadows on the hair to give it movement and shape, I felt that the face needed more depth, so I painted a little bit around the eyes with black, then I applied a red tone on the cheeks and on the part of the dark circles, I painted the crown with white, but then I thought that it was not going to stand out with the sky background I wanted, so in the end I painted it with black.

Después pinté el cielo, con muchas nubes y agregue una nueva capa donde coloque luces en el rostro para resaltar un poco mas los ojos, nariz y otras partes importantes, terminé realizando una edición de la imagen para ajustar un poco la tonalidad del dibujo, la saturación y la exposición.

Then I painted the sky, with many clouds and added a new layer where I placed lights on the face to highlight a little more the eyes, nose and other important parts, I finished editing the image to adjust a little the tonality of the drawing, the saturation and the exposure.
