I have always been curious about....... Knowing how the human body works

Since I was a little girl I have had the desire to know how the human body works, not knowing that when I grew up I would study medicine.

Since I was little I have had the knowledge that we are alive, that we must sleep and eat to have energy the next day and function normally.
Throughout my childhood I was learning through reading and diseases that I suffered part of what makes us. Being the kidneys of vital importance as our heart, lungs and brain, as they keep us free of impurities that harm us. I always believed that in order to know how we function properly, I should study medicine.

Throughout my adolescence, I glimpsed different careers such as architecture and veterinary medicine that seemed interesting and that I liked, but when I made a decision about what I was going to study I decided to study medicine, surprising my parents because they did not really know what I would finally study, and medicine had never come out of my mouth as something for me.

When it was time to start my first year of medical school I was afraid, but not afraid of not wanting to do it, afraid of the new, afraid of failing, afraid of not knowing. As you can imagine the first year was a year of many bumps and stumbles, of new learning and forming new friendships, among classmates we encouraged each other not to give up. We learned a lot about muscles and bones, how the circulation works, how a baby is formed from the first cell, a great knowledge that we must keep with us to be able to help others from the smallest to the largest.

Finally coming to occupy the study on weekends and holidays, to have a thirst for knowledge, to enjoy learning even the smallest of our gears to function, wanting to better myself every day to improve not only as a student but as a person, having as purpose to help others.

One of my favorite weekends was when I attended a congress to learn from different areas of my career, focusing on emergency medicine, being a nice experience where I could observe the passion of my peers and doctors who dictated the various lectures. Thus expanding little by little the knowledge that with emotion I tell my parents day by day, explaining what I am learning to them, marveling at how well structured our body is.

So far my little weekend, I hope you liked it, see you soon!

The curiosity of how the human body works I think is a natural instinct, especially with science students lol. I can remember at high school when I studied science, I would always bother my teachers especially biology with several different questions. Mostly, I would not go out for lunch breaks like the other kids but rather just sit outside with my teacher and asking him several questions. Sometimes he would become annoyed if the questions were too many and find an excuse to escape from me.

But now, I have decided to choose a different path in computer science which I also love studying, I wish you the very best in your career. Thank you for sharing as well :)
