Hive Garden WEEK 13: Green gifts that inspire 🌾
Most of us who love plants have started our garden with plants given to us by a family member or friend. In my case I have received several gifts that have graced my garden, they allow me to remember that person who has had a nice gesture with me. Most of my plants have been gifts from my mother, in fact all the fruit and medicinal plants I have have come from her garden, so every time I take an infusion of these plants I feel her closeness to me.
My beautiful adenium, known as desert rose in my country, has been a gift from my godson's mother. This plant for me has been very special, to see it blooming is a delight for my eyes that generate an immense joy for me.
My neighbor has given me these beautiful cactus that adorn my window, I have had to learn the care that these require, some I have lost them because I have not known how to control the irrigation, others by a plague that killed them; however most have been maintained over time. The biggest cacti were given to me by my sister, they were the first ones I had in my garden and they are already quite tall.
My relatives know the love I have for gardening, so they always have something special to decorate my garden, like this pot holder they gave me in the shape of a SS. Here I have some succulents and cactus to decorate the porch of my house.
My garden is full of gifts but it has also been a generator of gifts for friends and neighbors and even for my mom, there are always people that when they visit my house ask me to give them a plant and they have even been inspirational for other people to start their own garden, to such an extent that my neighbor who did not like plants when she saw my garden asked me to give her some sansevieras, adenium and cactus, from there began her passion for gardening, today she has more than a hundred species of cactus, now she is a plant fanatic.
