Moments in the Wind - A Poetic Practice

A slap in the face
Helps keep the pace
We are sure when
Even though it's missed then
Watching the grass grow
Allowing life to just flow
Chances are a moment's bliss
A sweet embrace followed by a kiss
Evolve with the changing tides
In knowledge truth abides
Oh how the mighty fall asunder
Into the ground crushed under
But all is not lost in mistakes
Lessons all earned by acts one takes
It's all individual moments
Some with more memorable endowments
Plainly we try to speak
Least we come off as meek
But truly where does life take us
When all are fading in the dusk
Momentary leading image flash
Mind eye we recap and hash
Oft we think back
In things we've thought we lack
Looking forward swim the easy thing
Like blooms in the wind seating in spring
Heavy though each breath
Rest assured each figure back death
Of the soul and spirit rise
Let not thoughts lead to demise
Of the is one thing we all must have
It's knowledge of how to love.
