A trip down histories majestic past, a day trip.
I have posted some photos from this place in a poetic practice post three days ago and felt there should be a bigger post just focusing on the actual place as a destination.
Minnamurra Forest and Falls
The rain dampened the walk length but at least we still got to go through the smaller loop. I would say need to visit this place in the middle of summer. The cool breeze in the air flowing softly really will be a great place to be in the heat of summer.
I have always thought that having a high canopy will give this cooling effect.
We got there early before there was a lot of people already to make people make its presence felt. I know we are all people but I know that when I see the crowds, it lessens the serenity of the place.
The sounds of water flowing down from the mountain is so calming that I feel like being transported back in time.

Little pools litter the whole path. Tempting to just ignore civility and go for a dip. Mind you it was about 10 degrees so I would've probably have gotten sick after.
Boundless ferns are everywhere. They say ferns are the worlds biggest producer of oxygen and do take in lots of carbon from the air. Probably from the large leaves they have for photosynthesis .
A subtropical rainforest in the middle of winter has its advantages, there is still no frost within the vast embrace of the guardian trees. Man I can't help trying to get poetic when I look at the photos. I am selfish because every time I look at them I want to keep them to myself.
Just look at it.
Wouldn't you want to keep this place all to yourself?
The fan plants, that what I call these.
There are a few suspension bridges all through the walk. Swinging up and down as you walk through them. I felt like I was dizzy.
Things to consider when exploring the place. Comfortable walking shoes. Established paths so no dirty shoes. Water, plenty of because you cant drink from the river.
Trees always need our love. Give them the hug they deserve even if you feel like a fool. Better a fool who enjoys life than a fool who lives for nothing...
As I look back where we came from I make a promise to myself to come back here at another time in the not too distant future. I know this place is only an hour away so it should not be that much trouble to stay here.
Till next time.

Perfect place for a family bonding 🤩. This ks the kind of place that I want to have someday. I mean a peaceful place to live someday, with lot of trees and beautiful spot.
Same here. Having something like this, untouched and wild.
I find it relaxing to visit places like this, except when it's crowded. It feels different when it's packed.
Haha, I also call those as fan plants, it's easier to remember that way.
I don't mind if I look silly though as long as I'm having fun. Power hug to all the trees! They've been through a lot.
Hugs all around

Always wanted to hug a giant old tree like that! Now, I'm jealous!
There are not a lot of big trees in Cebu. To many idiots cutting them down for charcoal.
walking with nature is one of my personal best when it comes to stress relieving,,thanks for sharing this nice place.
