Monomad: Bamboo Tiger Longicorn and the "Queen"

Seeing fascinating insects in a world without color... why not? You can still recognize them because nothing has changed from their original physical characteristics. They are still attractive and adorable, even though they are colorless.

So, today I decided to submit some macro pics for the daily #monomad challenge, with the subject being two kinds of insects.

Among them are a bamboo tiger longicorn on a leaf and a flying ant, better known as the queen, found on a grass stalk.

The bamboo tiger longicorn, the beetle's common name borrows the term "tiger". That's because there are black spots on the shield and thorax. The spots mimic those of a tiger. But of course, the beetle is not as ferocious as a tiger.

Meanwhile, this queen is somehow able to get out of her colony, so she is alone there.

Among the ant colony, only she has wings. So nothing can stop her from flying as far as she wants.

I suspect there are no handsome males in her colony, so she goes all the way just to find a handsome prince 😉
