Macaroeris nidicolens (Salticidae sp.)

From the hiding place, I could still peek at something crouching there. Those marble eyes stared warily. It seemed reluctant to come out so I had to lure it with a gentle blow.

The trick worked, and the little one slowly crawled out. Then a tiny black jumping spider with white spots appeared.

Macaroeris nidicolens is a species of jumping spider belonging to the Salticidae family. M. nidicolens is commonly found in shrubs or weeds. They live nomadically, making temporary nests by wrapping several boundary webs on leaf arches or gaps in grass shoots.
