Greetings my people, I hope you are doing phenomenally well. I am visiting the countryside and with each passing day I am more and more amazed by the beautiful local wildlife that visits us and fills my days with colors. For me it is easy to maintain contact with a variety of animals, even some non-domestic because I grew up and lived most of my childhood, adolescence and adulthood in a town where the fauna is varied and I have always felt admiration for the beautiful work of the creator by allowing us to share in an ecosystem with a diversity of vegetation and fauna.

Living surrounded by a large mountainous area allows you to enjoy all the color of the landscape, I missed the countryside and the fresh air that came kindly to detoxify my lungs after consuming so much carbon monoxide from the city. But, the best is yet to come to the house I visited on this country trip, and the night comes stomping in to welcome me with a beautiful butterfly I had never seen before. A butterfly with a kind of light brown camouflage and inexact black lines that can resemble the skin of a snake, my curiosity leads me to place my hand very close to this beautiful creature, and she perches on my hands, as a kind of model, models its colors, its slow gait and its flapping allows me to see all the top design of both wings. Undoubtedly, an extraordinary creature.

I feel very happy, in a few minutes I moved to my childhood and in that restrospective I realize how much the countryside has meant in life, living with unique creatures that are part of the landscape, smelling the flowers, throwing myself down that hillside full of grass and shouting into the void until I feel alive. As if that were not enough, at the other end of the room where I sympathized and admired the beautiful butterfly, a grasshopper landed, two things came to my mind, the exuberance of that bright green color told me life, and the symbol of the creature itself, the closeness with beings that are no longer by our side, but sometimes visit you in the form of animals to wish you the best of life. My country beliefs are still intact, as intact as the very strength of this grasshopper as it leaps and escapes from the danger of its predators.

The nocturnal visit was magnificent, but I didn't want to bother them with my presence, so I decided to enjoy these beings from a safe distance with my relatives until I went to rest. I woke up in the morning looking for our nocturnal visitors and the truth is that both had left, I felt happy to have shared with them and I thanked God for his wonderful work. In the afternoon, my sister called me excitedly to show me a new visitor and curiosity invaded me, so I went immediately to see who or what our new visitor was, observing a small and young green iguana that was on the ledge and suddenly began to move scared to see me arrive.

As I smiled watching this beauty of a being, I felt some indignation. I know perfectly well that green iguanas are a species in danger of extinction due to indiscriminate hunting for consumption, sale and for the extraction of their eggs, being considered an exotic food to which many people attribute health benefits. However, when I saw this small reptile, I could appreciate that this iguana was not in the best shape, and that is also due to the fact that the fruit season is about to begin and this is its main source of food. The green and black colors and the blurred scales of this species make it a magnificent creature worthy of admiration that should be repeated and valued, besides contributing to the balance of our ecosystem.

Only the countryside gives you the opportunity to connect with nature itself, and this has been the best welcome I have had in a long time to visit a place known since my childhood, with an extraordinary fauna worthy of admiring and preserving.

Bienvenidos a mi Blog

Unos extraordinarios y coloridos visitantes me dan la bienvenida al campo.

Saludos mi gente, espero que se encuentren fenomenalmente bien. Estoy de visita en el campo y cada día que pasa me siento más maravillada con la hermosa fauna local que nos visita y que llena de colores mis días. Para mi es fácil mantener el contacto con variedades de animales, incluso algunos no domésticos porque me crié y viví gran parte de mi niñez, adolescencia y adultez en un pueblo donde la fauna es variada y siempre he sentido admiración por la hermosa obra del creador al permitirnos compartir en un ecosistema con diversidad de vegetación y de fauna.

Vivir rodeada de una gran zona montañosa te permite poder disfrutar de todo el color del paisaje, yo extrañaba el campo y el aire puro que llegaba amablemente para desintoxicar mis pulmones luego de consumir tanto monoóxido de carbono proveniente de la ciudad. Pero, lo mejor está por venir a la vivienda que visitó en este viaje campestre, y la noche llega pisando fuerte para darme la bienvenida con una hermosa mariposa que jamás había visto. Una mariposa con una especie de camuflaje marrón claro y líneas inexactas negras que puede asemejar con la piel de una serpiente, mi curiosidad me lleva a colocar mi mano muy cerca de esta hermosa criatura, y ella se posa en mis manos, como una especie de modelo, modela sus colores, su andar despacio y su aleteo me permite ver todo el diseño superior de ambas alas. Sin duda alguna, una extraordinaria criatura.

Me siento muy feliz, en pocos minutos me trasladé a ni infancia y en esa restrospectiva caigo en cuenta de lo mucho que ha significado el campo en vida, el convivir con criaturas únicas que forman parte del paisaje, oler las flores, lanzarme por esa ladera llena de pasto y gritar al vacio hasta sentirme viva. Por si fuera poco, al otro extremo de la sala donde simpatizaba y admiraba la hermosa mariposa, se posó un saltamontes, a mi mente se vinieron dos cosas, la exuberancia de ese color verde brillante me decía vida, y el símbolo de la criatura misma, la cercanía con seres que ya no están a nuestro lado, pero que en ocasiones te visitan en forman de animales para desearte lo mejor de la vida. Mis creencias campestres siguen intactas, tan intactas como la fortaleza misma de este saltamontes al saltar y escapar del peligro de sus depredadores.

La visita nocturna fue magnífica, pero no quise seguir incomodandoles con mi presencia así que decidí disfrutar de estos seres desde una prudencial distancia junto a mis familiares hasta que me fui a descansar. Desperté en la mañana buscando a nuestros visitantes nocturnos y la verdad ambos se habían marchado, me volví a sentir feliz de haber compartido con ellos y agradecí a Dios por su maravillosa obra. En la tarde, mi hermana me llamó entusiasmada para mostrame un nuevo visitante y la curiosidad me invadió, por lo que fui inmediatamente a divisar de quién o de qué se trababa nuestro nuevo visitante, observando una pequeña y joven iguana verde que se encontraba en la cornisa y que de pronto comenzó a moverse asustada al verme llegar.

Mientras sonreía viendo a esta belleza de ser, sentí algo de indignación. Se perfectamente que las iguanas verdes son una especie que se encuentra en peligro de extinción debido a la caza indiscriminada para su consumo, venta y para la extracción de sus ovas o huevos, siendo considerada una comida exótica a la que muchas personas le atribuyen beneficios para salud. Sin embargo, al evidenciar este pequeño reptil, pude apreciar que esta iguana no se encontraba en la mejor forma, y eso también se debe a que la temporada de frutas está por comenzar y esta es su mayor fuente de alimentos. Los colores verdes, negro y el difuminado en las escamas de esta especie la hacen ser una criatura magnífica digna de admirar que debe ser repetada y valorada, además de contribuir al equilibrio de nuestro ecosistema.

Solo el campo te da la oportunidad de conectar con la naturaleza misma, y esta ha sido la mejor bienvenida que he tenido en muchísimo tiempo al visitar un lugar conocido de mi infancia, con una extraordinaria fauna digna de admirar y preservar.
