Understanding proposals and voting

Personally, I feel most users on this platform are not aware of this aspect of Hive Blog.

Ok, let's say, we are aware but do not participate by voting.

This post is not going to truly breakdown what the proposals and voting entails but you can check the comments to see if someone volunteered to it breakdown for us.

I will still share my observations.

WHERE TO LOCATE THE PROPOSALS
I will be using the Ecency application for my explanation.

So you click your profile image at the top, then you click WALLET as seen in my screenshot below

Then you see three headings of which "Proposal" is one of them. Please, check screenshot below

Then you click "Proposal", and you see this👇

Now, as in the pic above, you can see a good explanation about proposals and why votes are important. I do not really know to whom it is important to, probably to users in the long run.

HOW I VOTED AND TO VOTE
Somehow, I hoped the headings of the different proposals are harmless. Like I read the headings and feel like it's a good Proposal and I vote for it.

I voted using the vote button. The vote button has same symbol for upvotes like on blog posts. So, it is the same symbol you click to vote for a Proposal.

Like you can see a few I voted for in the screenshot below.

So, you see the difference in the Proposal I voted and not voted for. The colour of the voting symbol/button is different.

REOCCURRING AND EXPIRED PROPOSALS

Then, I scrolled down the Proposal page and saw that some Proposals are reoccuring and expired.

For instance, the HBD STABILIZER by @smooth.👇

I think this Proposal makes sense to be voted for. I do not know why it is reoccurring, maybe not enough votes or maybe it's a Proposal that needs to be running.

Then, there is an expired Proposal for F.R.I.D.A.Y. by @deathwing.

I discovered F.R.I.D.A.Y. is a bot somehow like Ginabot. I say somehow like Ginabot because, it does not have the features of giving notifications on when selected users post or when users make use of a particular words on the platform.
I hope this bot keeps upgrading.
