Zealy Campaign, my honest feedback.
In December, I had the opportunity to actively participate for the first time in a marketing campaign by Hive. I had started in others before, but never actually completed any. This time, with the goal of spreading Hive's name across Web 2 and making some extra income in December, I decided to dive headfirst into this campaign that stirred various emotions throughout its operation.
What I liked:
Most missions are interesting. Participating in spaces and interacting with the community is something I enjoyed and actually learned more about Hive and Web3 in general. I spoke with others who participated in previous campaigns, and some said this one was the most successful. This pleased me, and I could see the positive consequences of the work my colleagues and I did. Additionally, the team deserves credit for paying attention and fixing some silly mistakes that some people made during the campaign, like myself once putting links in the wrong place, LOL. Certainly, the team worked hard to make everything run smoothly, and I cannot say they didn't succeed, as everything went well.
What I didn't like:
Although the campaign was an undeniable success, some things need to be analyzed and changed for participants to feel more comfortable performing this type of work. While we all love Hive and want more people to join and see it grow, actively participating in a campaign that is worth some money is still work, and some situations made this work somewhat complicated and unpleasant.
Missions that require relying on others to complete them don't really help and only create tension and other negative feelings. Contacting someone, even if they are known, to come to Inleo and create a thread is not cool. Asking people, even known individuals, to do specific actions for us to complete a quest was unnecessary and annoying.
Within this topic, another mission of this type was the 'Adopt a Cub.' Imagine trying to convince someone to join the campaign. Honestly, if I can speak openly, this mission was a punishment. I do not doubt that some people had to buy a cub instead of adopting one if you catch my drift. Especially because the second part of this mission meant taking this cub to reach 500 XP, and what did they gain when reaching 500 XP? NOTHING. It's almost funny, but only almost because I know many people struggled to complete this mission.
Fortunately, after some complaints and suggestions, including suggestions from me, a substitute mission appeared, and to the joy of those without a cub, we could complete it without falling too far behind. I appreciate the team for listening to suggestions and making changes when necessary. But I would like to emphasize my thoughts on missions that require relying on others: Please, don't do this in future campaigns. Having to convince someone to do something on a blockchain that symbolizes freedom on the internet is ironic, hypocritical, and doesn't make sense. It makes much more sense to depend on one's own work, and I'm sure that as a result, more people will come. But having to talk to someone to perform specific actions when they won't gain anything from it only tarnishes our reputation and makes us known as someone who constantly asks for things.
Now, let's move on to another topic: RECAP
I don't consider the idea of the recap bad; on the contrary, it gave people a good chance to complete everything and advance in the ranking. I myself needed to do three recaps, and without them, I wouldn't have stayed in the top 20, without a doubt. However, some points need to be reconsidered about recaps.
Undoubtedly, the time zone was a problem for most people who followed the campaign's spaces. But some people faced this and listened and interacted in all spaces! Those who couldn't be present basically only needed to write a text about the specific space's theme. In the age of AI where audio can be transcribed and summarized, what's the difficulty in writing an original text for someone already familiar with Hive? What I'm trying to say is that following all spaces live is much more difficult than writing a text. For this reason, I think the XP amount for a recap should be lower than for those who followed a space to the end. This would be a way to break ties in the ranking before the last week. And I think, in addition to this alternative, another interesting idea would be to have spaces that don't allow recaps.
A few more points...
At this point, this text is a bit long, and I had to summarize some opinions to not extend it too much. But there are just a few more points that I believe are important to address. Perhaps this is the most controversial topic so far, but I think it's important to talk about it, or there will always be an elephant in the room.
Some campaign participants had somewhat strange behavior, and the team noticed. I remember two cases I saw; in one, a guy had adopted himself as a CUB in an account that seemed fake. In another, in a mission that asked for this, a girl had suggested the same influence as another account at the same time. Both cases were announced in the group, but we didn't see any consequences. Maybe they managed to prove their innocence and that they weren't using fake accounts... But it worried me a bit, and I wasn't the only one.
Another moment when the lack of transparency bothered me is that throughout the campaign, we could see someone from the team doing missions and participating in the ranking. Initially, I thought it was a test, that the person participated to see if everything was okay with the missions. Then I thought it was a way to encourage everyone to do the quests as well and considered it a good example of leadership. But in the end, I saw that the person really stayed in the ranking, in the top 10, and it surprised me that the Inleo team didn't realize how controversial this idea is.
Imagine, someone who approves the missions, who possibly formulates the missions, is also competing for the prize! I'm not doubting that the person is really doing everything right, I swear, it's not about that. But I believe the team lacked a bit of understanding to realize how inappropriate this seems. I'm absolutely sure that most people were bothered by this, but obviously, most don't comment for fear of being rejected or something similar.
Now it's almost the end, I promise...
Despite the negative points, as I said at the beginning, I believe the campaign achieved its goal and was a success. However, I would suggest more transparency going forward. Maybe at the beginning of each campaign, there could be a special text explaining each delicate point that needs explanations, such as the deadline for prize payment. The delay in payment didn't personally bother me, but it clearly bothered many people. From what I heard, the payment always gets delayed at the end of the campaigns, and I don't understand why there's a deadline for payment if it won't be met.
Would I participate in another Zealy campaign?
Honestly, I don't know. I think I would participate if I were sure that I would only have to use my own effort and not depend on the effort of others. I would also have to have spare time to dedicate, as I did in December, and I don't know if I'll have that time available next time. But undoubtedly, I recommend to those who haven't participated yet to have this experience and draw their own conclusions about whether it's worth it or not.

Campanha Zealy, meu feedback honesto.

Aiuna, you were perfect in your observations, especially those related to 'inviting' other people to participate. This type of task makes no sense at all, for the reasons you mentioned.
I didn't participate in this campaign due to a lack of time, but I have experience in all the others. Something that bothers me is that some people there, who are supposed to support the participants, act impatiently or even with disguised rudeness on some occasions. Needless to say, it's a bit strange for someone providing support to also be participating in the campaign. This makes me lose confidence in what they are doing.
I hope the next campaigns are better and more organized. Some people there are working hard to make things run smoothly, and it's a shame that they don't notice some details that can tarnish this genuine good intention.
Thanks, @michupa , your feedback also is very important... About this situation that you mentioned, yeah, I saw some like this. And I believe that it is something that needs to be changed or people would feel bad about participating in the campaign. Instead of doing this for fun and wanting to spread the Hive and Inleo names, they will just do it for money.
I think that there wasn’t a delay of the payment since never they gave a deadline to pay it. If they had said we will pay in two days after the results then people would be able to complain, but they never gave! One thing that was already discussed that they need to fix is to avoid interest conflicts. In any type of assessment or competition employees or relatives of the employees cant participate on those, even if there wasnt any cheating , people still can question and this feeling stays, “what if the employee x had previous information of a certain quest? “ . About the quests I am not sure about the solution … but for me the worst was to convince people to do threads…
You were perfect in your analysis, I practically agree with everything you said. I was one of the people who didn't do any recaps, I risked my job and family life to follow all the spaces and I didn't think it was fair at any point to have the same value as someone who didn't participate in the space and could use AI or simply set up a text seeing others creating the posts about the space he needed to write.
Regarding the missions of influencing someone to create a thread or reaching 500xp, there really is nothing to discuss, I consider these missions too complex or unnecessary, as depending on someone else to create or do something that will help you is complicated, in life We actually go through this all the time, helping someone and when we need someone, nothing, just disappointment.
Finally, seeing people who were supervising, approving and creating missions and also participating, that was the icing on the cake, it doesn't make any sense at all. It was even the case of Yuri commenting that it was like a dance competition, then the guy who is the judge of the competition, gets up and goes dancing too, what stops him from giving everyone a 9 and a 10 for him? How can the guy who judges the participants judge himself? This is what I like to call "who supervises the inspector?", well, that was made fun of in my opinion too.
I honestly don't want to participate in new campaigns, the prize helps a lot and so does the engagement, but these difficulties and strange points... I think I'll just stay and cheer.
