Focus on technology, not price

As the cryptocurrency bear market continues to intensify, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin believes that the cryptocurrency community should focus on the technology and application system rather than cryptocurrency prices, explaining:

Being in this technology is an important and positive cultural focus compared to being in it for potential financial gain.

In February, Buterin said that cryptocurrency makers would welcome a new bear market.

Rising cryptocurrency prices are attracting an enormous amount of attention in a bull market, where greed and rampant speculation are in the driver's seat.

Once prices collapse, speculators tend to abandon the market, while builders and developers are the ones who usually stay through the tough times.

This is why some high-profile industry leaders actually welcome the price drop because a lot of exciting projects usually appear during bear markets.

Buterin also explained that unsustainable crypto projects tend to decline during bear markets, as quality prevails over quantity.

Although high prices make a lot of people happy, they also attract a lot of unnecessary speculative attention, according to the same spokesperson.

The cryptocurrency market has suffered a severe crash, with the prices of Bitcoin and major altcoins dropping more than 70%.

The crypto industry is still in the doldrums after the epic crash of FTX, with some skeptics believing that this crash could lead to a full-blown ice age.
