🏠🌴🌳 Reminiscing my Childhood Life 🌳🌴🏘️
Hello @Asean Hive Community, hello everyone have a great day ahead. Hope everything is fine. May God always shower His Blessings to each and everyone.
Today, I have something to share about my childhood. My life was not easy as I belong to a simple and poor family. We live simple life but we live a happy family.
This little "payag" was built by my father as a shelter when we come here to harvest coconut. But originally we have a house near to this payag but already destroyed because we already lived in downtown. We lived this place during my high school up to college. I walk for school about 1 kilometer to reach the high to ride a motorcycle. That was my daily routine when I went to school.
We don't have source of water, we have to go to lower town just to fetch water. That is why we have our cow before to carry water for us or even those heavy things to make it easy for us to bring at our house. We will be happy if there's a rain because we can stock water in a drum. I even recycled water, when I'm doing my laundry the water I used to washed clothes I will not throw it away. Instead I will use that to water our plants and flowers. For how many years that's our life. Until such time that my brother buy a parcel of land at the town and we live here right now. Although I have that situation I don't complained but instead it served as my inspiration to continue my studies and to finish my college.
We don't even have electricity during our time when we lived here, we just used "lampara" for our evening lights. That's what I used when I study my lessons at home but still I excel at school, I'm an honor student.
We did not destroy this house a remembrance to my late father. He used to stay here, when he work at the farm. I just missed how clean was the farm before. He always cut the grasses, plant coconut, pans ones and durian. That's what he do when he went here during weekends. During weekdays he drive his motorcycle to have income and sustain daily needs.
We harvest coconut and sell as additional income. We used to buy food for our daily needs.
We harvest coconut and sell as additional income. We used to buy food for our daily needs, atleast it helps. My father plant this coconut tree and we already benefits on it. Thank you so much to my late father.
This way to got there to the farm....
My forever partner, she really loves to go with me everytime that I go here. The farm was very accessible because it was along barangay road and we just ride a motorcycle to got here.
Soon, house of my cousin, but not yet finish.
Nostalgia! One of my favorite vegetables during those time and even this time. We call this "bago" I don't know on your term. This is very delicious, cooked with coconut milk and put some dried fish, that's perfect combination, can sold our meal.
Untill here... Hope you enjoy reading my life experienced. Till next time... How about you, what is your life experience??? Can you share it with us?

A tough childhood makes you strong, hopefully you will be more successful and your childhood will never happen again to your children, amen.
My life today was different from my life before and I dont want that my children experience what I experienced before. That's why I always encourage them to continue their studies no matter what.
Simple life is very enjoyable especially when our Family is complete. The house is built in very unique and your Father have a skills to build that unique structure Ma'am. We have lots of wonderful childhood memories and it will remain a pieces of good memories.
That's small house was very memorable for me. Everytime I saw that house I always remember my late father and his hardwork for the family.
That creates a great memories, really. But I think it is good to renovate it Ma'am. 😊😊 I really like the house.
Sometimes it is really great to look back and reminisce our moments a few years back. It must have been really nostalgic visiting your old home before.
Never tried Bago. I thought it’s just a tree. Did you ever try climbing at the towering coconut tree? When we lived in the mountain, it was my childhood dream to climb the coconut tree and get buko. I tried many times, but oh my, it was really hard to get those fruits so I went down many times frustrated. The kopras also is yummy. I can still imagine its hot taste after being exposed at the sun.
I also experienced the times when I was very diligent to study even if we only used lampara. Like you, I was an honor student too.
Your payag makes me come back to my grandpa’s farm. Your payag makes me feel nostalgic. I can still remember when we used to slumber at our grandpa’s payag while listening to the radio dramas. I miss those days. How I wish I could turn back the times.
