Family time is Fun Time!
Hello my fellow Asean Hivers!🤗
How's your second Monday of 2023? Are your minds still on vacation mode but you have no choice but to go back to work. You still have the holiday fever. Haha.
I used to be like that too when I was still working. We call it the "back to reality mode". I dreaded the Mondays so I often call it Manic Monday. I guess I am not alone, a lot are feeling this way too.
That's life we need to work, to earn to provide for our families. To have and live a good life. To have a life of ease and comfort.
So back to work! vacation's over!😁😍
Anyways, speaking of vacations. While my son is still on his vacation from College. We make it a point that we can go out, enjoy the outdoors as a family.
So yesterday morning we went to church to observe the Sabbath. I was so happy because our Matriarch, my 72 year-old mother-in-law was able to go with us at church. Her feet and legs were not aching because last week she had the gout. You know when you are getting old your body becomes squeaky and painful all over that you don't know which is more painful the legs, the feet, the back, everything is sore. That's why I make it a point to always give my mother-in-law massages. I do some reflexology massage on her feet, legs and back to help relieve her body pains.
In the afternoon my son wanted to ride his bike inside Subic Bay Freeport Zone which is just a fifteen minutes drive from our house and a 12 kilometers ride by bike which was what my son did. He went ahead earlier so when we arrived by the beach he was already there and had already enjoyed biking.
Brief history of Subic Bay
[With an Executive Order issued by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1901, the US established its first military base in the country. Two thousand eight hundred hectares at Subic Bay, including the area where Olongapo City is located today, became a military reservation for the US navy.
When Mount Pinatubo erupted last June 15, 1991. The Americans had to evacuate the then US naval military Base. Leaving behind the infrastructures they built to the Philippines in 1992.] Source:www.britannica.com
Subic Bay Freeport Zone (SBFZ) is the first Freeport in the Philippines. It is located southwest of Luzon, surrounded by the municipalities of Subic and Olongapo City in Zambales, and Hermosa and Morong in Bataan.
Subic Bay is a popular summer destination in the Philippines and is known by divers as a site with one of the largest collections of shipwrecks. Besides wreck scuba diving, there are many best things to do in Subic Bay, from bird watching to water sports. Lots of beautiful beaches, forest adventure trails and many recreational activities.
Now that it has become a Freeport economic Zone. It is now a hub for
Business and provides a lot of jobs to people all over the country. There are a lot of hotels built here now and there is a big mall plus not to mention the Duty Free Shops where you can buy products from other countries tax free.
My city is also multi-cultural since we have a lot of many different foreigners who come here and open up businesses.
And oh before I forgot, Subic Bay has the same land area as Singapore.
So back to our family fun time. We went by the beach which is just beside The Light House Marina Hotel.
The weather was cool and windy which is what I love. It was cloudy as well since it's December the cool months in our country.
These guys were sailing and they were having a hard time pulling their boat back to shore so hubby helped them too bad I was not able to take a photo because I was busy taking photos of the light house changing colors. The next thing I saw was their boat was already on land. Too bad I missed Super Man's action.😄
The best Part was seeing the sunset.
I am a sunset hunter so being able to witness the horizon change its colors was really so amazing.

For this year 2023 it's our goal, hubby and myself to spend as much time for ourselves, for our family whenever we have the time.
It is time to focus more on ourselves, to stop and smell the roses for they won't be around for too long.
I think it's important that in order for us to see the big things we must first pay attention to the small things, the priceless things in life for in them the treasure lies.
Time spent with our families doesn't have to be expensive and lavish. It doesn't have to be fancy. Sharing stories, laughing, telling jokes, playing, having fun and imparting life lessons is what counts.
Adding happy memories to our memory bank.

Subic Bay ♥️
Hello there, I'm from Zambales, particularly in the town of San Marcelino. Subic Bay is one of my happy place. We often go there with my colleagues and friends. 😍 It's a great place indeed. A perfect view of sunset and the Lighthouse too 😍
Oh wow! Hello teach! Happy to meet you. We've been there at Nagbunga whole November dahil nagkaproject kami. House ng colleague ko before. We repaired her roof, did some painting sa house and fences nya.
Glad to know I have a fellow hiver from Zambales.
@aideleijoie I am a sunset person so I love that the most.. Its gorgeous how always it hides behind some mountain or sea with the gorgeous hope of rising from any other place the other day. I agree that one should definitely focus more on 'US' that me time and family time is never coming back...money, job, business and others can wait...Good luck for your goal achievement😗😗
very beautiful view of the beach and the atmosphere is also very good
Wow ang ganda naman po dyan sis @aideleijoie it's been a long time that I haven't go to the seashore. And magbigat po yang bangka sis yung samen Lang po Ng halos anak o apo po niyan ehh magbigat napo ehh
Thank you for appreciating sis. Subic has so much to offer specially its beaches and forests. Daming pwedeng pasyalan na not needing much to spend. Yon lang dahil may duty free shops dito maraming dumadayo Lalo mga balik bayan dito na sila namimili ng pampasalubong! Haha
Oo nga eh heavy yong sail boat kaya tumulong na si hubby hindi nila maiakyat sa land. Haha
