Exploring Kalam Valley | Switzerland of Pakistan

Hey Peeps!!
I hope you all are doing good.
Family vacations bring joy to all family members. Creating lasting memories on these trips is something everyone looks forward to, and for siblings, it's an opportunity to enjoy the experience together to the fullest.
We also planned a family trip but we were unable to decide the place to visit as there were multiple options. Every member was suggesting a different place. So at last, all the family members agreed on visiting the Kalam Valley. We packed our luggage and started our journey from Sialkot in the afternoon.

After 5 hours of travelling, we reached Islamabad. The journey to Kalam Valley from Islamabad was about 5 hours. So we drove our car on motorway and turned the car towards Swat. Basically, Swat is a district is Kalam is its subcity. There were green mountains on both sides of the road. The views were amazing.

On motorway, we took a stop at the entrance of Swat Tunnel. We came out of car and roamed for a while to remove our tiredness.

It was getting dark, we continued our journey on motorway. After 3 hours of continuous drive, we reached Kalam valley at 9pm. We passed through a bazaar and saw countless sheeps.

The road to Kalam was dangerous and rocky. The road was in the middle, there were gigantic mountains on the left side of ride while there was Swat River on the right side of the road whose flow was very fast. We booked a room in the hotel. After booking room, we went for dinner as we were so hungry and came back to sleep.

The next day, we woke up early in the morning. We had a breakfast in the hotel. The hotel was luxurious and its rooms were well furnished and neat and clean.

We had an amazing sleep. We decided to visit the Mahodand Lake which has a journey of 6 hours from Kalam Valley. SUVs can't go there because of its rocky and slippery road. So we booked a local Land Cruiser. It was a single road just like a trek. We had a bumpy ride and we felt like our bones are getting displaced.😅

We reached Mahodand Lake after few hours of difficult ride. The water of the lake was so fresh and cold.🥶

I tried to put my hand in the lake for a minute but it started freezing. We enjoyed there, captured some pics with the family. Then a guy came and offered us a boat ride on the lake. My mother didn't agree for the boat ride because she was feared of water. So we tried to agree her and she joined us too. It was giving a totally different view of the lake from the boat.

We were feeling tired and it started getting dark as well, so we went back. On our way, we went to Ushu Forest. The forest was thick and had long trees. It was giving a scary feel because it was totally dark there.

So we stopped there for couple of minutes and reached back to our room. We had a dinner and went to sleep.
The next morning, we ate our dinner and left for Kumrat Valley.

It is considered as the Switzerland of Pakistan because of its matchless beauty. We were very excited to witness its beauty but we were sad too because it was our last day there.😢We forgot it and kept on enjoying.

We reached Kumrat Valley and had to hike for an hour to reach our destination. When we reached at our destination, we were amazed to see the beauty of Kumrat Valley. It was a piece of heaven on Earth. I had never seen more beautiful place than Kumrat Valley. This valley was discovered by the Ex-Prime Minster of Pakistan Mr. Imran Khan. We had an awesome time there, wandered here and there, breathed fresh air, enjoyed the fresh and chilled water of flowing stream.

We ate some snacks and my father told me to get back because they had an important meeting in the office next day. I requested them to camp there tonight but they didn't agree. However they promised that he will bring me again at this place after 2 months. I agreed and we checked out our room, packed our luggage and started our journey back to home.

So it was all about my 2day tour to Kalam Valley. I hope you liked it and enjoyed it as well. I also invite you all to visit this place. I assure you that you won't regret visiting this place. Please keep on supporting so that I can bring more travelling blogs.
Thankyou for reading!
See you soon.

Such a long trip from Islamabad to kalam so bad that the streets was not good by the way kalam looks like a good place and the hotel very comfortable.

The deterioration of the roads was a result of the heavy rain and subsequent flooding, leading to their poor condition.
